Reward Zone Certificate Question

Quick question for you guys.

I have a 65 dollar reward zone certificate that will expire in two weeks, yet I have no plans on buying anything with it this month and am currently saving it and the other RZC's for as long as I can until there is something I really want from BB. Is it possible for me to use the 65 dollar rzc on like a game, do not open the game (wait about 30 days), return the game and get back my reward zone certificate in the mail/email for an extension of the certificate for later use?
 
man, i love being premier silver...ive got nearly $160 in points accumlated, and i have yet to convert it to gift certificates

cant wait till black friday and the new xbox slim deals

op, i bought a rocketfish bluetooth headset for ps3 from bb, and kept it for like 4 weeks, then returned it, and they put the gc back on my acct.

Well I know they put it back, but do they also renew the expiration date or do they reduce it to like a month when they refund the rzc back to your account and how long does it take for it to show back up? another 35 days?
 
I have never actually been in this situation since I always bank my points.

But I can't imagine they would not give you time to reuse the certificates if you actually return the item, since it takes them time to reissue the certificates also, I would imagine they would extend the expiration time. Maybe not 6-9 months, but I would imagine something like a month.

I say just call them. Don't tell them your main intention, but just ask them that you already used certificates a couple days ago, but now you are thinking about returning the product, but your original certificates were suppose to expire soon. So will they expire?

I think that's believable enough of a story.

The answer is, NO, if it is past the expiration date of the RZ Cert, they will NOT refund the credit back to your account. The return MUST be made before the cert expires in order to get the credit back. There is NO legit way to automatically extend your RZ Cert, so you'd better start choosing something to spend it on. (Keep in mind it could be used for iTunes gift cards, MS Points cards, or PSN store cards, if you wanna bank some credit for upcoming purchases...) Otherwise you're taking your chances getting lucky with a kind CS rep.
