Do you have a PS3? Look for the Assassin's Creed Revelations that comes with the original AC on disc. That way you only have to buy the ACII series.

By the way, are the games in chronological order (I.E. I know they all take place in different time periods, but should I play them in the order the were originally released), or in a particular order?

Play in order of release. (AC1,AC2,ACB,ACR,AC3)

Play them in chronological order, but honestly if you want you can skip AC1 and jump stright to ACII

Some people enjoyed ACI, personally? I hated it.

My need for speed and always sunny season 5 blu ray have their payment validated and are about to ship.

I was going to get need for speed at walmart, but it was only 5 dollars cheaper. Now the only thing I want to go out for is forza horizon on thursday night....

Then I wil head out and see what scraps are left as far as blu rays are concerned and what not in the morning
 
Just got an email saying Iron Man 2 Blu-ray was backordered.

Also decided to buy NFS Most Wanted, I know it'll be cheaper eventually, but hopefully I still have 60 days to price match and it goes on sale for $20 somewhere...If not oh well.

Im buying PS Plus just for my vita because I dont use it at all and the games they are giving for free seem like a good selection.

Other than that, my vita is a paperweight.

You sign in with the same playstation network ID on your vita, and you will automatically have it

Nope you won't have to re-purchase it! After the store updates tomorrow you will be able to download all those games for free since you are already a member! :)

Used to be a big toshiba fan. Got pissed off after my super-expensive gaming laptop just broke for no reason. Harddrive just crashed. Bought a cheaper one that was just awful.

They aren't what they used to be. Plus their processing speeds are incredibly slow. I would avoid Toshiba, I'm boycotting them.

Hmm. Do I buy Forza now or do I brave the lines at Wal-Mart on Thursday night. Also, if I buy Forza now, theoretically I'd have a better shot at Xbox point cards at Target. Although I have a feeling those things are going to be gone way before I get in line even if I show up early...

Im trying Forza at walmart.

There is a huge price difference on that one... if it were Need for Speed, I would say just order it online because its only 5 dollars. But 20 dollars is a big difference.

If your talking about the 1600 MSP for $9.99 you should check the Black Friday thread. That was a misprint and it has since been removed from the current Target BF ad and replaced with a 3 Month XBL sub for $9.99.

What is everyones opinion on the $250 laptop? I know it isn't good for gaming, but what about for productivity/web browsing?

I know there is no disc drive, but how would you reinstall Windows and/or programs on it other than using an external USB drive?
 
I am not a silver member, buy my friend is, so I had him pick up Mortal Kombat Vita for me for $15. I don't know if I'd have a problem getting it on BF, but I figured I'd have him order it and ship to me just in case.

It's a good processor. It should run everything fine. Those pentium dual core cpu's are pretty good when it comes to handling regular stuff like browsing the net. I think that comp can handle HD video if it has an HDMI out.

i was tempted but I'm getting it at gamestop with credit. Plus, this is going to be everywhere at least 10 units in each store.

Same deal as last year, but the console is now almost regularly $250 on sale, whereas last year it was usually $300. $200 with a GC on top or better games people don't already have might have worked better.
 
This is the 3rd year I've been able to access the early BF sale, and this is the 3rd year it's crashed the site. The 1st year, I gave them a pass. The 2nd year, I assumed they would have learned from the year before and was disappointed when it crashed. This year, I fully expected it to crash.

I'm still a little surprised that a company that mainly sells technology can't figure out how to keep their website from crashing. At least this year it seems that they were able to fix it faster. Either that or I was just less anxious waiting on them to fix it.

And next year I will be on the outside looking in since I would have to spend another $1600 to maintain Silver, which just isn't in the cards. Hopefully they let me keep it anyway.

Oh Best Buy... how I both love and hate you.

I'm thinking the same thing. I have a 160 slim that if the trade in holds I'm upgrading at GS. I also already have the Uncharted Collection and the Infamous collection that I paid $45 total for a few days back and haven't opened yet so I may even come out ahead by a couple bucks by returning them. Unless the TIV for my PS3 gets nuked of course.

Check reviews of the older models with win7 that are priced ~$300. Seems to be a cheaper version of asus not as good as they are usually known for, but for the price I don't think it's bad for non-gaming browsing type of stuff, assuming you also like win8. Not positive for this laptop, but most allow you to reinstall OS from a pre-existing partition on the hard drive.

This was my day with them for sure. Kind of embarrassed how much I was raging earlier only to end up with basically everything I wanted. They will sometimes drive you nuts but then make up for it with a great deal. This must be like having a smoking hot girlfriend who is also certifiably crazy.

I've been toying with the idea myself, just to get a newer PS3. Would just sell/trade in the Uncharted & Infamous Collections as I already own everything.

They are having double hardware TIV on Black Friday so I figure I would come out better. I was thinking I would go pick up the 250 Gig Bundle and verify the trade in value while I'm there. If it's still good I will come home and transfer my data and then take my old one back in. I don't have an extra HD to transfer my data to so I would rather just do it straight from one console to another.

I pointed this out earlier in the thread, but you can buy a USB optical drive for the laptop for like $13 --- like $29 if you want DVD. So, if you find out you need it, it's pretty cheap to get.
