EDIT 7/15/06: Further price drops across all systems. Also, there is now a thread tracking games that qualify for Rhino's 2-for-1 deal here, courtesy of kjauburn: http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=100697

Looks like Rhino is having a big clearance across all systems. I don't have a complete list, not even close - but here are a few that stood out when I was there:

Darkwatch (xbox) - $7.50
PoP: The Two Thrones (ps2) - $14.50
MGS Acid 2 - $19.50

There were TONS more, again, across all systems. The manager told me they were going to be doing more markdowns in the coming weeks as well.

And before anyone asks, Rhino is a chain that's mainly in the Southeast, but has been spreading out some so I didn't put this in regional. And they have a website, but they don't sell anything on it.
Im just looking for Winning Eleven 9 for the PS2 for a good price. I'd be forever greatful if someone managed to get a copy for under $20
Damn dude, you REALLY want this game dont you, youve posted as much as anyone in this thread, and you dont have a Rhino hear you , and they are all abou tthis game... good luck though... If I found one for PS2 Id get it for ya , but I didnt

I picked up Killer 7 and a RE4 GC Chainsaw Controller for $21 total. Not too shabby I say. I might go back and get a PS2 chainsaw too....

No MMX collection here, which is what I wanted the most, as well as Katamari.

Mine does have a few MMX Controllers, Shadow the Hedgehog controllers, one more PS2 Component Cable (I got one for myself), Frantix, Exit, and various DS accessories.

No chainsaw controllers from what I saw. Debating on picking up the SNES controllers (I have an NES set).

So I sold three games for $12 and decided to take that money back to Rhino.

Spazzed out when I saw the Saint's Row demo. Immediately put $5, got the demo, then promptly cancelled my preorder and used my credit for more games. Ended up getting Rainbow Six: Lockdown, Rainbow Six: Critical Hour, Fantastic 4, Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30, and king of Fighters 02/03. I then noticed a NGPC system with Metal Slug, Fatal Fury, Samurai Showdown, Pacman, something else and something else marked from $74.99 to $19.50. Picked all that up and after the $12 I made back and the credit, I only paid $30 out of pocket. Not bad at all.

Yeah, i feel like a pest but after reading reviews fomr multiple sites, WE9 is the best game out there...again, thanks for looking :)

No luck on RE 4 controllers here. Might have to take a little trip tomorrow and hit 2 more Rhino's up about 30 minutes from the house...

Please no more markdowns. I got MGA2 and X-WE9 (both 9.50) and the wireless SNES controllers (19.50) today.

Kinda funny, I asked if they had any of the SNES controllers (had NES on table), and they said no. Looked up above their display case, and mostly hidden by their business license was the last set. Huzzah!

But I'm seriously done with this clearance. I need to sell some stuff, maybe I can afford a 360.

Any word on some more handheld drops? I'd like to see some of the GBA games (particularly Mega Man Zero 4 and Rebelstar) drop below the ten dollar mark.

I talked with the manager at one of our Rhinos about a next round of drops, he told me it can happen at anytime, they went for a while without anything, then BAM, all these markdowns at once

I personally will check back weekly at least at my local store

Found these today at my local Rhino:
Samurai Warriors State of War (PSP) 14.50
Generations of Chaos (PSP) 14.50
Crash Racing (PSP) 9.50
Exit (PSP) 9.50
Soduku (PSP) 9.50

About $60 plus tax for 5 new PSP games definately isn't a bad deal. Also noticed these:

Xbox RF's .50
N64 Power Supplies 3.50 (always good to have a spare, they sell used for 9.99)
Black (Xbox) 12.50 gets $20 toward Madden 07 at EB
Beatmania (PS2) 34.50 ????
Rumble Roses XXX (360) 39.50
Tomb Raider Legends (360) 39.50
DOA4 (360) 29.50
Flatout (Xbox) 9.50
Drakenguard 2 (PS2) 14.50

I asked the manager (long time friend) what was up with the sale (new for less than half of used), Generations and Samurai both sell for 34.99 used, and he said he didn't understand either, but, as of next week the clearance prices will go up!! I looked at him in shock and he said that corporate must be losing their minds. So if you see something you want at Rhino, better jump on it now, because it isn't going to get any cheaper.

I stopped by at lunch today, but didn't notice anything marked down further. I checked quite a few, and they all appeared to have the same prices as before. I asked the manager if Beatmania had dropped again (it's behind the counter & hard to see) and she said it hadn't. She then told me that she had heard some prices might be about to go back UP, since apparently some people had discovered they could buy the new games & trade them in for more money. Aannnnyywwayyy.... ;)

I did grab something that I just hadn't seen out before, and that's the FFXI digital desk clock. Tells the regular time & time in-game. I don't play FFXI, but it looks damn cool and for $7.50 (regular $50) I couldn't say no. :)

That's only $7.50? Damn. I don't play anymore, but it does look damn cool. Perhaps I'll have to go back tomorrow.

Oh, one more thing of interest I meant to mention. Not a sale by any means, but I found it interesting that they had the UK imports of Breath of Fire III & Tales of Eternia for the PSP. $55 each, but still cheaper than anywhere else if you do a 2-for-1 for them.

On a related note, anyone else miss Rhino carrying game soundtracks?

going to check one last store I didnt hit up yet tomorrow (hope they have something good left there, already checked the 3 around me multiple times)
anyone heard of any new drops yet?
The opposite, actually - my local manager said yesterday that she had been told the clearanced games would be either marked as "used" & given the current used pricing or their prices would go back up. I asked her when this was supposed to take place, and she didn't know for sure but thought it would be either this weekend or the first of next week. So if there's something you've been holding out on hoping for a further drop, you might want to get it now.

Damn. The new games at my Rhino are usually behind the counter in a glass case. I'm guessing the clearanced games are set apart/out in the open?
The deal is dead? Nooooooooooo I hadn't gone yet because my Rhino is way clear across town.
I know how you feel.

I dont think it's dead I think all the good items just sold out. Odama for 19.50 might not be the best price but its still a deal down from a price of $50 three weeks ago.

Went yesterday and only saw that Battalion Wars for the Cube went down to 19.50. And one of the Cube's Megaman titles dropped to 14.50. Xenosaga 2 was at 9.50 for PS2, but other than that nothing really below the 10 dollar mark

edit: and I did see the FF clock but it was still marked $50 so I may have to check that out
