Ric Flair's wrestling topic

Say hello to the Nature Boy

This being the 16th wrestling topic, I thought why not honor the 16 time World Champion!

Ric Flair is perhaps the greatest wrestler of all-time, having won titles in 4 decades now.

Flair won his first Heavyweight title back in September of 1981 defeating Dusty Rhodes in the NWA. Flair went on to win titles over the likes of Harley Race, Kerry Von Erich, Ricky Steamboat, Randy Savage, Vader, Jeff Jarrett, and Kevin Nash, but perhaps no feud in WCW/NWA history was more prolific than Flair's feud with Sting.

Flair and the Stinger battled back and forth countless times, with Flair winning the title over the Stinger twice.

The final match in WCW history was between Ric Flair and Sting.

Although Ric Flair is no longer as active in the ring as he used to be, he remains a prominant on-air personality and is still the dirtiest player in the game.
great pick for someone no one had talked about in the nomination process. and the 16th topic/ 16th title is a great idea
As someone mentioned, sure, 16 time champion, but 16 losses.

You screwed Bret! You screwed Bret!

I kid. Not a bad choice at all, very thoughtful and impressive.

I thought the last match in WCW history was something else.

I'd also like to make a pitch for Lance Storm. What a blue-collar, hardworking technical wrestler he was.

Where the fuck is Bret Hart's topic?
The only thing is... if Bret had a topic, we'd never want it to end.

Also, I suppose that if we ever reach topic 200, we'll have Jerry Lawler's topic, to celebrate his 200+ titles held.

ahhhh i just recently downgraded my cable to basic because i get spike tv through my sat. I just noticed that the sat was knocked out of place and now i cant watch raw!!!!! noooooo

and to make it worse pwtorrents cancelled my account so i cant download it later tonight

Sorry, friends, but it looks like I will be missing RAW chat tonight. I know, what else is new...

Things are getting pretty bad here at Jack's place, so I'm just going to duck my head down and hope that things blow over...

Sorry that I am missing the chat; you all know how much I love hanging out with you. Have fun.

ric flair looked really fuckin nasty with all the blood on him. They need to tone down that blood because it looked like he was straight out of a horror movie
Flair's blading is always nasty.
did he blade? I missed part of Raw, but I thought they just showed him bloody.

and Matt Hardy and Edge are putting on one hell of a match. One of the best matches on TV they have had in a long time

Matt and Edge are being taking awany on streacher because matt put edge through a table up where the electrical and sparks stared flying.

I particularly enjoyed the fact that he was knocked out, sporting some of the worst-looking blood on WWE, tv OR ppv, lately, and some fat fuck in a red shirt is shaking his shoulder, yelling "Ric, tell me what happened!"

Oh, now they're using their "small" voices to tell us it's real, as if the "caution" signs all over creation weren't clear enough. The Great Space Coaster had thicker plots than this. At the very least, the match was awesome to watch; on the other hand, it was painfully obvious that, based off of her choice of attire, Lite was *not* going to be taking any kind of bump tonight, unless you count the one she keeps in her change pocket in her jeans.
Edge/Hardy- MOTY candidate. I'm calling it now.
No way, not even top 5, probably not top ten.
I hope Matt and Edge are OK.
MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
best WWE match I have seen this year remains Angle and HBK at WM
Yeah it was a great match and i look forward to more.
MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
Heh... be nice.

Matt/Edge was a nice little fight... but, why wasn't that at Summerslam? I really fucking hate when WWE does that.
Ric flair got the Holy Shit beat out of him and was rushed to the Hostpital.
yeah he might die its on wwe.com

Raw was pretty good. I was thoroughly entertained with the whole show, even though I missed the Cabana.

Ric's blade job/makeup/whatever was just brutal. It was almost as bad as when HBK was put through the car window back when HHH was turning heel.

And, I was stupid for saying it was a MOTY candidate, but Matt/Edge was a sick match. The ending was just nuts. Nice to see the Side Effect again.

Sorry for double post, but I found some interesting news on RingSideMayhem:

There was a heavily-promoted wrestling convention this past weekend featuring the likes of Bret Hart, Bruno Sammartino, Matt Hardy The Dudley Boyz and more wrestling stars both past and present. Tammy Sytch decided to show up at WrestleReunion 2 to set up a table to sell promo photos, autographs, poloroids, etc... She had also appeared at the NWA Legends convention the previous weekend as an un-announced guest along with Missy Hyatt. Unlike at WrestleReunion, Tammy didn't cause any problems, although she seemed bored.

From several accounts from people who were at WrestleReunion, Tammy Sytch was thrown out of the building crying and screaming by security and warned to never come back again. Apparently, she was bothering several of the wrestlers and acting unusual, mostly notably to Bret Hart.

Here is a detailed fan account of what went down...

Tammy was drunk or high. She was on something and kept asking Bret for his number and asking if they can "re-connect" as friends. She kept mentioning their time in the WWF and said she wanted to get "close" again. When Bret asked that she be escorted out, she began crying and causing a scene saying she had the best pussy he ever had and she needed him in her life because she spent all of the Candido Benefit money and was broke. She needed a sugar daddy to take care of her.

Later in the hotel, she was stumbling around the hotel topless and asking for Billy Gunn who wasn't even there. Ask D-Lo Brown, he was there. He can tell you. As a matter of fact, The Masked Maniac should try to get him on the honker for a hotline to confirm this. Tammy has fallen off the wagon and needs help.

And for those keeping score, Tammy's regained a good amount of the weight that she had previously lost earlier this year as she's ballooned quite a bit in the last month or so.

-- Sean Waltman, formerly known as the 1-2-3 Kid, X Pac, etc. will be meeting with WWE some time this week. The reason for the meeting however, is unknown. TNA is looking to sign Waltman, but due to his friendship with Vince McMahon and Triple H, not to mention that they have more money, it’s likely that he would sign with WWE if that's what they are interested in.

Sean is a long time friend of Triple H, and has stated on numerous occasions that he feels Triple H and Vince saved his life when they paid for him to go into rehab during his battles with addiction.

The Edge/Hardy match was really good, and what should've happened in the first place.

As for the rest of the show, it was mostly pretty lame. Tomko beat the Tag Team Champions...by himself...in less than 2 minutes. Duh, ok.
