Missed the first half of RAW cause of Prison Break, did Michaels even do the challenge? Did the "mystery assailants" costumes even cover Carlito's fro? Does Tomko remind anyone else a LOT of Test, (besides the initial letter)?

So, anyone picked up/picking up Day of Reckoning 2 today? I didn't pick up last year's game, though I played it a bit and thought it was decent, the button-mashing was pretty aggravating (this just from some multiplayer). Curious to hear people's impressions of it...

They'd have to fix the gameplay, as it's not all that good. Royal Rumble's completely suck, as the computer can knock others out way too easily. Unless they completely overhauled the game, I'm passing until it's cheap, as in $10 or less.

Yeah, I always had trouble with the RR in story mode. IDK why, but I always got my ass handed to me.

It happens in multiplayer, as well, as I've set the diff. to easy and put me and my friend as the last two entrants and we get knocked out without winning. That's just not fun after having to wait to come in.

I just play 4 Player HIAC. That gets insane, especially when we all gang on the ref, then he beats all of our asses :lol:

What's funnier is my crappy caw that took out Batista, Angle, Undertaker, The Rock, and Cena before he was taking out in a RR. :lol:

My nephew and I used to be complete idiots on SVR. We'd play as shitty CAWs, in a tag team HIAC, on Smackdown difficulty, AND we'd play against 2 98 rated CAWs. THATS HARD.

I'm probably going to wait on a price drop, or I'll just pick up Smackdown vs. Raw 06. There are too many other games comming out this week that I'm thinking about getting.

I was watching RAW tonight here in Jacksonville, FL and they ran an advertisment for Smackdown! which is being taped here at Jacksonville Memorial tomorrow night with the advertised main event of JBL/Randy Orton vs Batista/Undertaker.

I guess that might be the big match they leave the Thursday night slot with.

-- Despite the new TNA booking team, mainly Scott D’Amore and Mike Tenay, getting high marks from the wrestlers, there is still frustration over Jeff Jarrett’s influence on the product. Many believe that Jeremy Borash and Dutch Mantel of the booking team are basically there just to look out for Jarrett.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there was recently a heated situation in a hotel room between Ron Killings, Konnan, and Jeff Jarrett. When Jarrett proposed that the group of BJ James (The Road Dogg), Konnan, and Killings break up, he suggested that Konnan would go into a new group and BG James would go with Kip James (Billy Gunn), which would leave Killings with nothing. Killings was quite frustrated with this, and that is when things got heated. Words were exchanged, and Jarrett supposedly called Killings an “uppity Negro”, and things almost got ugly.

Killings offered to be a team with Jeff Hardy, an idea which had actually been suggested several times before by others, but Jarrett didn’t like the idea.

Konnan has went so far as to threaten to leave the company, if Jarrett sees that they are broken up, leaving Killings with nothing. Konnan had earlier suggested to bring indy wrestler Homicide into the group, to replace James.

Hey, everyone. I want to apologize again for missing RAW chat, and hopefully I can join you next week.

Just finished watching RAW on my DVR, and here are my thoughts:

Carlito's Cabana:
Someone please give Shawn Michaels a big sack of money so that he will go away and I'll never have to see him again! If you are still going to hog the TV time, at least do it as a heel and do something interesting, Shawn. Also, it kinda sucks that they turned Flair face. He's best as a heel, but I suppose since people cheer him either way, it doesn't matter. Michaels & Flair hugging = :puke:

Big Show vs. Quartermain/Madison:
Pretty useless match with a bit of David vs. Goliath comedy thrown in. Snitsky's run-in was completely useless. Does anyone actually want to see these guys feud?

Diva Segment / Ashley vs. Victoria:
More useless crap. I cringed at the horrible mic skills from everyone. I wonder how long it will be before Lita and Ashley feud with the "There's only room for one punk tomboy chick" storyline.

Cade & Murdock Promo:
It'll be interesting to see what these two can do, and where they will go. I know that at a lot of house shows, everyone seems to like Murdock because he resembles Dusty Rhodes. He even threw out some bionic elbows during the matches for the fans. Maybe Dusty could manage these two or something. It'd be funny to see Murdock come out to Dusty's old music. "American... dream! (cowbell) He's just a common man..."

Alter Bridge w/ Edge promo:
Same-old "Matt will not die? Because I let him live" promo.

Lita/Matt Hardy segment:
Pretty useless also. Will Matt ever get to lay out Lita one of these days? I would've thought that Matt would have gone the Kane route and maybe tossed Lita against the wall and growled at her, pulling the "I'm going to make your life hell." Well, we'll see where this goes.

Flair attacked segment:
Pretty good makeup job on Flair. Was good for a laugh.

Edge vs. Matt Hardy:
As kittie mentioned, this is what their SummerSlam match should've been like. Good to see that Matt wasn't laid out again, and that he didn't get a clean win. If they can pull out some more decent matches, this feud could get interesting again.

Commentators talk about Matt/Edge:
Ross, Lawler, and Coach put on a decent show of acting, acting as if the injuries were real and that Edge might have been paralyzed. Also, Edge did a decent job of acting scared. This segment made me cringe a bit because the tone of JR's voice sounded like he did when he announced that Owen Hart died. A bit disturbing to hear him in that tone again.

Cena/Angle showdown:
Cena is starting to make me sick with his entrance. Dude, come up with something better than holding up the belt and stomping around like Eugene! Fast-forwarded through his promo until Kurt came out. Same-old stuff, but at least Kurt is entertaining.

Tomko vs. Rosey:
Make the tag divison look even weaker, why don't you? Useless filler...

Shawn Michaels vs. Carlito/Masters
Crappy, cookie-cutter match. Was funny to see a bloody Ric Flair run in and get taken out by Masters. What a crappy way to end RAW.

Overall:
A weak RAW, with possibly the only bright spot being the street fight.

Maybe you can use him via Action Replay, like you could play British Bulldog in SvR (or was it HCTP?)

Think Hot Coffee style; but instead of fucking, it's wrestlers.
 
another thing i like about dor and this is also true in the first one....

i love the fact that entrance songs are pretty much complete unlike the smackdown loops

I'm torn between getting DoR 2, Nascar 06, Mario Baseball, and one of the new hockey games that will be comming out.

Guyver, do you think DoR 2 is worth getting now, or would it be better to wait for Smackdown vs. Raw 06?

Well if you liked the first one..you'll like this one. Its awesome. I love the engine and the new stamina meter and submission stick makes the matches better. This game is way better in multiplayer than smackdown.

BUt regardless i will be getting smackdown as well...I like them both.

I drink enough coffee as it is, I don't need SmackDown's gameplay to make me a spaz. I enjoy the "AKI" style of DoR (it's not perfect plagiarism, but it's good enough for current gen) personally. HCTP has my favorite roster, but SvR just did nothing for me; OTOH, the online option is tempting, provided that it's updated significantly.

I think I'll pick it up from work if we got it in today. How does the three stages of blood look? In one video it looked like the blood dripped off the wrestler's face and stayed on the mat for a short period of time, is that still in?
 
The chants in that Masterlock video are easily the worst i've heard in ANY wrestling game, and i'm throwing in WWF Warzone into that thought, too.
