Rightstuf Weekly Special 4/7-4/14: A Lot of Anime Bundles.
IMO, I thought the 3rd season was the worst.

2nd being the best followed by the 1st.
Here, here! Although I really enjoyed the episode where Kaoru day-dreamed about her and Kenshin being more than friends. ^___^

Awesome prices on a lot fo stuff Ackbar. Thanks for the tip. I've heard a lot about Boogiepop Phantom, but don't really know a lot about it. I've just heard from a lot of friends and some people on CAG (mainly DZ when she still frequented the boards) that it's a really good show. Any info on it?

Oh and there's a great price for Big O Complete Season 1 in that list Ackbar.

I wish I had held out now on buying Kenshin boxset 3, but that's one of my most favorite animes and just had to buy it. I own all three box sets, the Samurai X OVAs, the Samurai X movie, and Samurai X soundtrack. All that I'm missing is a Kenshin OST and I'm basically set with all my Kenshin needs.
It's okay. Think of Lain, but where Lain focused on technology Boogiepop is more supernatural.
I've never seen Lain, so I'm not really too sure of the comparison. Any for info would be great. Please.

Boogiepop is one of my favorite shows, but it's very hard to describe. It's at its most basic a psychological study of various people. It does have a supernatural twist to it, but the show is really about the various mental problems these characters have. In doing so it really comments on society as a whole. Touching on everything from the lose of childhoood innocence to people who live only for the past. Also I'll say that be prepared to work to enjoy it. You really need to dig up what things mean just to understand the most basic of things that is going on. It's definitely worth it once you do though. I wrote a 10 page paper on it in college. Very deep and layered show.

Ah but do you have the director's cuts of the OVAs? Not like you need them though as there's not really too many differences.

Some other decent deals for the sale I'd recommend are:

Angel Links Complete collection for $24 (picked that one up personally)
Legned of Black Heaven Box set for $60
Castle of Cagliostro for $18 (now that's a freakin' steal for the best Lupin movie ever, hell it's miyazaki's work too so it's hard to go wrong)
All 3 Macross Boxsets for $38 each
All 4 G-gundam boxsets for $20 each
RahXephon the Movie for $15
Gad Guard with Box for $31

It's a good thing I either don't want or alrady own most of those or my credit card bill would be enormous. I ended up with just Angel Links, one of the Macross sets and that Blade fo the Immortal zippo lighter.

Yaeh I know. I'm not going to double dip on those. I've heard and read that the difference between them is so miniscule that you can't really tell that it's a director's cut at all. Plus it would cost too much.

What does Hybrid format mean? Never mind found the answer on their FAQ: "You might also see (Hyb) which means that both the subtitled and dubbed versions are available on the same DVD."

Last day for these weekly deals, but it seems like they've raised the price on a lot of it. The Kenshin boxset is back up to $130 or so and Big O Season 1 complete set is back to $40. Most of the others bundles that Ackbar posted went up as well. Boogiepop Phantom is still $40 though.
