Ripped off by ebgames? (Ninja Gaiden Black Used)

I ordered NG Black used off of ebgames.com and it finally came today. It has the correct cover art, and instruction manual, but the disc just says 'Ninja Gaiden'. I put in the game and all it says is 'Ninja Gaiden'. I read that the two hurricane packs were included, but it gives me the option of downloading them. Also, there is only normal and hard difficulty when I read there was 5. Did I get the NG game in a NG Black case?

You can just return it to your local EB to have them exchange it out with the one you were suppose to get or just call customer support for EBgames.com and explain to them what happened. They will just have to send you the one you paid for and just send back the one you have.

Gaaaah, that's really annoying. What probably happened was some prick bought NG Black, swapped the discs, then returned it. I work in a mall with an EBGames so I'll swing by before work. EBgames.com says they only have NEW copies in stock, do you think they'll let me swap cause it was their mistake?

Well if the store you go to has copies of the used available they'll swap it. Otherwise call customer support for the EBGames.com website.

Here's what you should do - Don't contact them. Don't give them a chance to correct the error. Just contact Paypal to charge back the purchase.

Then after EB gives you a refund. Punish them. Give them negative feedback. Yeah sure they were kind enough to admit they were wrong, and refund your money, but so what? They deserve to be punished with a NEG.

Act like an Ebay buyer.

But seriously. Don't talk to us. Call the 1-800 number and ask for an exchange. That's all. Simple as that

troy.

When they sent me a non-working Dreamcast tremor pack I went to the store and asked for a replacment. They had no used ones so being the good sports that they are they gave me a new one. I was very pleased. EB is very understanding when it comes to returns.

you must have the best EB ever.

the EB I go to refused to give me a refund for a PS1 game that was defective from the get go. I took it back a day after I bought it, and the guy working there made the comment, "I had a feeling it would do this". But since I broke the seal (their cellophane they put on the PS1 game), I couldn't get a refund back, since they didn't have the item in stock. No crap, it's a PS1 game.

2nd time, they sold me a Dreamcast with a broken laser. Took it back 2 days later with the receipt, they said the same thing. because I opened the box, and they didn't have any in stock I couldnt get a refund OR store credit. after arguing my point for a while (how do you test something without opening the box, and it should be tested regardless), he made the comment, "Well, I guess I'll do it this time, store credit, but just this time only"

worst customer service.

I order PuyoPop for DS and got Zoo Keeper with a PuypPop label on it. I just shipped it back explained the error and they sent me a new one.

They just sound like assholes at your EB, I've returned plenty of non-working games to a few EBs in my area. If they don't have any copies they just give me back what I paid them (cash, store credit, or credited back on to a credit card).

In my experience, employees of mall-based EB's are morons. I practically made a scene in a local mall... I had to read the employees their own damn policy off the packing slip and those thickheaded idiots still wouldn't take back a DEFECTIVE game from EBgames.com.

Standalone (strip-mall or whatever) EB's are the "good" ones that have cooler employees who are more inclined to hook you up or give you a break. After the aforementioned incident I went to a standalone EB and got to return the game. Yeah I got store credit, but that's still more than those idiots at the mall were gonna give me. And for some reason I got the standard price of the game credited to me (rather than the discounted price I got through CAG discounts) so I wasn't complaining.

Obviously YMMV, but that's how my experiences have been.

I went to two EB stores over the weekend and exchanged one defective game at one, one defective game at another, and returned two defective games and a controller.

Shipping things back is a hassle and you shoulden't have to, go to the EB store and work it out.

I've only had to return one item to EB Games. I received Wipeout Pure when I really ordered Lumines and since they were all out of used copies, the employee just opened up a new one.
