Risen (X360) EB/GS B&M - $19.99

It was an okay game. Wasn't going to beat Oblivion or Fallout, but as above mentioned, if you can get past the clunky controls and obvious port from a PC title. It's worth the $20.
Nevermind the game, it's been this price for months.
According to the CAG price history graph, it hit $20 on Oct. 20, so I don't know where you're getting your info from.

I bought mine in store earlier this month, and the price sticker had a price change date of September 15, 2010:

Yeah picked this up last month at $20, price dropped from $30, it's cheaper then Amazon currently.

I've played the PC version and while it isn't a bad game, I wouldn't say it's a good game either. I liked the voice acting, and a decent chunk of the game was interesting (mostly the first two chapters, and a little bit of the third and fourth ones). But the plot ended up becoming dull and the quests got real repetitive later on in the game. All in all a decent RPG, but it just doesn't a hold a candle to vastly superior ones like The Witcher, Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines and Mass Effect 2.

That being said, I've never played the 360 version myself. However I remember watching Angry Joe's video review of the game and it definitely looked like a noticeably inferior port of the PC version (the graphics and controls in particular).http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efbW9-VwtN8 I'm actually surprised it took them this long to drop the game to a bargain price. I suppose for $20 it might be worth checking out if you want something new to play.

The game is absolute garbage on 360, don't even bother picking it up (unless you have a capable PC). The game makes New Vegas look bug-free and stable, and the interface is awful and not designed around the pad well.

For whatever reason I got it for $50 around the time it came out on console....big mistake.

Hmmm, I have been playing Risen 360 for about 7 hours, no real glitch to speak of. The game is very ugly at times, but I do enjoy the way each quests play out (more so than Dragon Age).

so i was gonna watch that video review, but turned it off after he spelled "pieces" as "peices". If you're gonna review something and try to be snarky/clever, proofread.

Never heard of this guy, but my god was that painful to watch (and not because the game is bad).

Seriously. He makes the AVGN look like an Academy Award winning actor.

Really? You guys have never heard of Angry Joe? He's part of the Blistered Thumbs team, which also includes Spoony, Benzaie, LordKat and The Sage. They're featured on That Guy With The Glasses' website. Well whatever. Not everyone is going to find him funny, which is fine. I was just pointing out that his was the only review I saw of the Xbox 360 version of the game and from what I saw it definitely looked inferior to the PC version I had played.
