I wasn't even aware this was coming to the US, let alone dated, priced, and coming in under two months!

# High-res hand drawn graphics, including all-new event scenes!
# Simple controls that allow for relaxing, yet involving game play!
# A unique battle system where items have different effects based on its user!
# A completely arranged, CD-quality soundtrack!
# From battles to conversations, everything is 100% fully voiced! In dual-language!
# An all-new dungeon with a never-been-told episode!

I loved Riviera on the GBA, so I will definitely pick this up the day it comes out. I can make a few bucks on the GBA one to soften the blow, so yea, this is definitely awesome.

I got really far in the GBA one, pretty cool game.

So is this kinda a remake, with additions? If so, I'd pick it up just because I never beat the other one.

Yep, it's a remake... redrawn graphics, voices, the whole nine yards.

One of my favorite GBA games definitely.

Ha, I never got around to playing my GBA copy. Maybe now I'll just wait and play this one, once I can get it cheap that is...

I might get this but Why are all RPG's for PSP ports of PS1 games? I havent read one good review for a PSP RPG that isnt a port.

Can someone name me a solid PSP RPG that isnt a port. I do want one.

Also Final Fantasy Tactics if the story actually makes sense this time and has a good translation Im thinking about getting.

God I hope they sped up the battle system. I used to choose my commands, then surf the internet for a few minutes while the turn played out. Could've done without that.

Gurumin is only $19.99 at EB / GS and is a solid action RPG, good reviews too.

And Riviera was originally a GBA game, not a PS1 game... I don't mind the ports because I never played the originals (except Riviera), so it's new to me.

Gurumin is a port of a PC game though.

Rivera was actually originally a Wonder Swan game.

Try Monster Kingdom: Jewel Summoner if you want an original. Valhalla Knights and Kingdom of Paradise are other original games. Other games like Generation of Chaos, PoPoLoCrois and Legend of Heroes are ports, but the original never got a US release.

And of course there is the upcoming Jeanne D'Arc, which looks very impressive so far

PSP also has several RPGs that may be ports, but they never came stateside until PS3 (like Legend of Heroes). Who cares, they are better than most DS RPGs currently IMO.

Anyway, I liked Riviera too. I'm definitely dumping my GBA copy to get this, but stupid EB/Gamestop will only give be $4 for it. :(

There's a new Tales game coming too that looks pretty cool. Has characters from old Tales games like Loyd, Luke, and Reid, and Rain.(and more).

BAH, you beat me to it....

Can't wait for this game. I only played a little of it on the GBA, but it was enjoyable. Woot.

Tales of Eternia I've heard is a good RPG, not sure if it's a remake, since I haven't been keepin up with rpgs for some time. It's only been released in Europe, you have to import it I guess.

Cheers :)

Can get $10 - $15 on Ebay for it, it's hard to tell with all the bootlegs, but at least $10. That's just cart only, I've seen people get $20 + with the book and box and stuff.

Gurumin also is a port of a PC game but 99% of people don't know that, I sure as hell didn't and I've never seen anyone mention it until now. For all intents and purposes it might as well be a PSP original RPG since all of 8 people probably played the PC version.

When the US version was announced for the PSP, I thought this was going to be almost like Final Fantasy Anniversary (with a big difference in graphics and sound). But after looking at some of the PSP screen shots, I don't see too much difference in the graphics.

I love Riviera and it's probably one of my favorite GBA RPG's. But after having played the original WSC and then the ported GBA versions, I'm not sure if I'll get this for the PSP.

I had this for the gba but never got around to playing it. Once it was announced for the psp, I traded my copy on here. Looking forward to picking this back up, but between the ps2 & psp there are a LOT of rpgs on the way.

I never had time to get very far in the GBA version, but I'll pick this up for sure. PSP is gettting a lot of RPG love lately... I still can't wait for D&D Tactics!

Awww!! The music quality has been upped?

I LOVED Riviera's soundtrack, getting to hear that in CD-quality with better instruments = win.

It's release is getting pretty close, I'm already 10 RPGs behind having all the PSP RPGs :(

Riviera was a VERY unique experience for a GBA game, and I'll probably get it for PSP at some point. I'll be using a FAQ though cause I hated missing items due to how linear it was. If you haven't played Riviera, I highly suggest it.

Good that there are voices. I kept forgetting how I made the female characters sound in my head. Due on 7/2, that's handy for me, considering the only other game I would be getting that month is Persona 3. Atlus is getting alot of my money these next months.

Dungeon Siege Throne of Agony

Great Diabo 2 clone.

So, has anyone picked the game up on PSP? I mostly liked the game on GBA (despite getting into a lot of trouble 5 hours into the game). I'm looking to buy it for PSP, but it was off my radar due to E3 last week.

I haven't come across a review of the PSP version yet.

I picked it up, and I'm enjoying it just as much as I did on the GBA. Probably moreso because of the voices, music and graphics.

Also getting Tales of the World today, and might pick up Parappa. Lot of PSP games...

I forgot about this game. I did have some fun with it on the GBA, IBut I don't know if it was enough to re-buy the game.

Might get it again if I find it cheap. While I had fun with the game, I was always extremely frustrated with the way you learn moves and even more so by the way you got weapons...

A ton of RPGs hitting the PSP. I want this one at some point, but I have my eye on Brave Story & Jeanne D'Arc right now. Definitely getting Jeanne, I have a pre-order down on it. Not sure if I'll get BS at release or not tho - $40 is still hard for me to swallow for a portable game.

Did they speed up the battle system? I don't think I could ever play through this again, due to the fact that I had to surf the internet while battles played out, they were that slow and repetitive.

Bought it a few days back and I'm loving it so far. My only complaint is that it really seems to drag on, mostly because of the long scenes that happen almost every screen. But I'm still enjoying it.

The English voices are very good, I don't think there's a single one I dislike.

Unfortunately, Atlus games usually don't stick around for multiple markdowns.

Yeah, I know that. But since I already have the GBA game I can chance it. While the PSP version seems to add a few things to it, it's nothing that I need to run out of house for.

That's understandable.

anyone find the SO CALLED new dungeon. I beat the game walked though all 8 chapters and there isnt a new dungeon the game just ends just like the gba one. Major let down until someone can confirm this really does have an all new dungeon.

Hopefully someone can confirm by monday (when it goes back to gameflY)

Even over at gamefaqs noone seems to know how to get to this dungeon. I wonder if they really addded it.

Its an great game BUT nowhere worth 40 bucks when i already own the gba one. I probally get it at 10 bucks but no more then that

I think the extra dungeon is accessible through the extras section.

Yeah... I got it.

The "wow" factor has returned, but I'm just wondering how quick it'll be before I'm back to "Oh my GOD this is boring." I liked it on GBA, but after being wowed by the semi-original gameplay and superb artistic flare, something about it was boring me to death... so much that I never made it past chapter 4.

I'll try to beat it this time though.
I think the extra dungeon is accessible through the extras section.
goofy thing is i beat the game but its stills aying the extras isnt avaiable right now

I picked this up because I had a bunch of GS store credit burning a hole in my pocket. I can honestly say, I hate this game. The battles are terrible (All you do is use items? How fun!), the exploration, while interesting at first is totally boring. (Push left. sit through a long and boring battle, push right, sit through a sappy conversation with you dim-witted companions, it's like trying to pick which way to kill myself)

The dialog is like a mix of a little kids cartoon with a slight sexual innuendo, most of it is very cringe worthy.

Well time to eBay it...
Well time to eBay it...
Hold on to it for a while. Then when no one can find it in stores you ebay it.

Anyway, I did grab this game just because I'm a weak willed person when it comes to Atlus games... I haven't really had the time to play it again though.

no, wait! you'll miss the naked little girls with huge tits sharing a bath together! :p

I thought this game was good for a playthrough on the GBA, but it is very tedious.

That's a pretty good idea, I may do just that.

Apossum - I'd like to think I have a little more dignity than to look at cartoon child-porn...

yes, that was the joke ;)

":p" = teasing. not licking little girls....you sicko! :p

I skimmed the review and I saw that the GBA version of the game was censored. I'm curious to know exactly what was censored in the GBA release of the game, any ideas on what it was?
