I'm glad to see the average college student is about as smart as a pound of bricks. They're actually hooting and hollering about how they get to pay higher costs, die younger, and stop all further medical advancement.

It's totally crazy that anyone would think that rationing would be a part of this current health care 'reform'. What would make you ever think that, other then common sense.

Atleast we know now where that extremely intelligent congressman from Florida got the idea for his demonstration. Too bad he got the political ideologies wrong.

You know what health care and the medical industry represent to me?

Doctors charging a FORTUNE for their services. People go into life-long debt so they can keep living, just so they can live long enough to pay the hospital bills. There is NO reason for health care to cost what it does aside from doctors monopolizing their services. If I'm ever in a position in which I must sell off everyhting I own and work 2 jobs just to afford life-saving surgery, they can go ahead and pick my plot in the ground. I'm not paying some doctor hundreds of thousands of dollars just to live longer. More examples of the joys of capitalism.

But the mere suggestion that health care costs be lowered upsets people. Doctors should be put on a flat-rate government salary and if they refuse to provide proper treatment thet should face criminal charges. No more denying treatment based on ability to pay.

It also means the elimination of natural selection. We have preserved genetic defects through generations all due to the notion that "all life is sacred". Physical and mental disorders that would have been erased by nature continue to spread thanks to medicine. The same medicine we now rely on to stay alive, because our whole species has become so weak, we can't survive without it.

From a business standpoint, arguing from a position of using health care dollars most efficiently for the most people (which is the stated position), what exactly about the tape deviates from the standard? And what exactly are you faux "upset" about? I honestly don't know.

Srsly tho, is some part of this a surprise to someone? Are you naive enough to believe that:

1. The price of medical care is going to decline.
2. We are going to significantly extend life through the investments and research of drug companies in this area (as opposed to say, dick pills).
3. Medical advancement would cease under this or any plan?

That's funny, because higher prices and less service =/ more efficient health care. It equals more pay for rationing. Changing a system to make you pay more and die sooner is NOT making it more efficient, it's taking more money and making it LESS. But that's economics, not heart felt lib politics.

I think everyone knows that when anyone comes out saying that this is a 'reform', and that is going to be benefit anyone outside of the government, that they're lying through their teeth. All the champions of this will in one breath say they're not trying to take over the health care industry, then in the next talk about how they're proponents of a single payer system system, and that the 'public option' is the quickest way to get there.
I guess the only surprising thing is to here one of these fools be so honest.
 
Hey libs, I have a story for ya.

3.5 years ago I nearly died from gall bladder surgery. My gall bladder was about to explode, it was full of puss.

I went to a like minded as you hospital, and waited in line in the emergency room. When I had surgery I was 1-2 minutes from death.

I watched as people with flus and colds got treated ahead of me.

Wait until you have a major life threatening illness, then tell me how more efficient it is to ration and spread health care around.

Of course by then it would be too late. You'd have accepted the poison; All this will do is weaken everyone while the politicians can get medical care anytime.

The sickest person should be the ones going in first.

You could've had a doctor that you go to regularly that gets you to the proper specialist without delay but that would take decent insurance. I wonder how you could possibly get that?

The only way your options give you that is if you get a decent job (and that's not even guaranteed to get you benefits) or pay a huge amount out of pocket.

I go to specialists. That was an emergency trip to the emergency room and I had to wait in line as the people who came in line were seen next.

Make sure that when you have an equally as bad issue you write your will as you wait in line with all the free healthcare illegals get and all the rationing.

And btw, I wouldn't call your line of thinking 'liberal' (even though you are), the same way I wouldn't call conservative line of thinking nowadays 'conserative', as both sides are now full of shit. Your type of thinking is more conservative and my idea is more liberal.

The fact is, to help more people, the person worst off needs to be seen. That includes old people. Your liberal government only wants workers, and they want sick and elderly to die.

I was hoping to come in here and make awful jokes about giving Mick Jagger a lethal injection and watching the rest of the boomers lose their will to live. Instead of that I got Nikola Tesla's insane xenophobic ramblings and primal resource hoarding paranoia.

I'm wondering exactly what part of that was a parody. I know this is probably very hard to understand, but for it to be a parody, he'd have to be against those things. You can't parody something you're promoting, which he has in the past and still does.
I'm also wondering what is sarcastic about telling everyone what is common sense. If you have a system like Reich has and still promotes, you get exactly what he's 'being sarcastic about'. I guess you're supposed to laugh about it while you die at a younger age. If only we could all be as enlightened.

Convenient that the tape cuts off before he gets to the meat of the lecture. It's a hack job (and a very poor one at that). This part of the speech designed to get your attention before he launches into the bread-and-butter policy portion. You just cut it off and then act as if he is speaking his opinion. Yeah, I'm really sure people are going to sincerely applaud when they are told to die quickly. That makes a ton of sense. (In case you can't tell, those last two sentences were sarcastic. Please do not take them seriously, I was saying the opposite of what I meant to indicate scorn for your literal interpretation of this speech fragment - in other words I'm having some fun at your expense)

It's scary that a guy named Death Scythe, whose master is war, cannot understand parody.
