Try to take it back to the store and sell it to some kid who thinks he's getting a deal.
I wonder if that happened to the guy who sold it to TFN :whistle2:k

True! I bought an opened Zune with a big crack on the back of it!

The box hadn't even been opened. Just brand new straight out of the box and all the problems people say they're having with 'em is the same shit I'm having, but none of this stupid shit is working.
Did you get a lot of snow where you are?
Not as much as many areas, ala Wisconsin, or even upstate NY (Bufallo/Syracuse). But we do get quite a lot. The weather issue directly in Boston is wind, Boston is actually the windiest city in the United States, there's usually about 20+ mph winds whipping around, which makes the cold seems colder, and causes all sorts of weird stuff to happen with the snow.

So I'd say we get a good amount of snow, but it could be worse.

This is why I love my Mom (who works at BB):
"That movie you bought me for my birthday is on sale this week at CC, want me to PM it for you?"
Too kind. Wait till Christmas Eve and fire everybody.
For you Xmas bonus this year I'm giving everyone more time to spend with their families! *cheers* You're all fired! The holiday party last Friday was your severance. *crickets chirp*

Best part of working in a union place: Almost impossible to get fired.
Worst part of working in a union place: Almost impossible to get someone fired.

Half Life 2 doles out creative cheesemints but it's not all that rapid and they are low GP. Between playing that and Halo 3 MP my GP whoring is slowing way way down.
Anyone know how I'd go about pitching a book? I think I have a great concept, but I'm not sure if it would sell.
Don't unpublished authors typically have to write the book and then send it around to see if anyone will publish it? But I don't really know.

Ya, it's called an agent.

And yes, you have to have the book first.

you can submit to publishers, but the best thing to do is get an agent, or know someone on the inside.

also, if you have an "idea" for a book, you're further away, though you can hire ghost writers to hash out your ideas, a la most all "autobiographies"

best thing is to research the publishers out there, find the niche publisher (or sub publisher, like Pantheon for Graphic Novels, which resides under Random house) and make the push.

it's easy to get a book published - it's hard to make money off of it unless you find the right agent/publisher.

My sister used them to publish her books. In fact, she's written 4 of them.
