Yea, Eastern Promises

When I said other, I meant other after History of Violence.
I can't wait for New Amsterdam to start!
:whistle2:s

I enjoyed Amsterdam. Very cool city.

Never seen so much porn in such close quarters (red light district). I mean, damn.
What the hell is wrong with you?

Maybe it isn't the best movie ever, but darn close.
not even.

what are your other contenders? the sixth sense? unbreakable? anything by m. night shamalamadingdong?;)
I just really want to buy a damn :hd:
I bought that Planet Earth for $30, so I'll enjoy it when it comes. On that note, I ordered this morning and I still never got a confirmation..that's pretty weird for when ordering something online. But there's a hold on my account, so it went through. Sigh.

Nothing on the DD $10-$12 sale interest me. I have prime, and Batman/Transformers are $18. Really don't want to spend MORE then $20 on these things because.. next month they'll be like $2.25 before coupon.

Christmas Vacation (fuckin love those movies, especially Vegas) is $15. Hmmm.
You'll get a couple emails over the next few days.

May have to see if there's a new Mythbusters or something first. Also, S1 of DS9 is here...that might be a must watch.

She ran away to Texas
To keep away the access
Oh, ripped and beggin’, stroke back Texas
She burnt through the heritage
Desert ‘cross America,
And they all look sexual so far from home

then you've never seen lilboos house. Course it is all of the "Homosexual" nature.
ya I'm sure the family get togethers would be awkward. And they'd be filled with inappropriate internet jokes no one else would get.
isn't that how all family get togethers are, anyways? i know that i've told several family members to do a barrel roll.

Have you seen "Memento"? M. Night Shalwhateverthehellhisnameis didn't have anything to do with it.

Memento
Donnie Darko
No Country For Old Men
Star Wars Series

Those are some of my favorite movies, that I can think off of the top of my head.

It's a show.

Wtf were you doing in New Amsterdam!? I haven't ever even left the east coast. :(

Well, not as bad as telling them to pull a 2girls1cup...

Amsterdam rocked. i spent an entire day at the heini brewery. drunk. very, very drunk. for a total of about $5.

yes, i've seen memento. it's got the same qualities as the others... watch me once, find out the surprise twist at the very end, never watch me again afterwards, since the best part was finding out the twist unexpectedly. it does have some quality one liners though... "Hmmmm.... I don't *feel* drunk..."

Yeah well I enjoyed it alot.

Another movie in similar vein that I watched very recently was "Fight Club". That was a damn good movie also.

New Amsterdam? I was in... normal Amsterdam.

I went all across Europe, actually. Netherlands, Germany, France, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, England, Scotland. I think that's it.
I think The Thing is my favorite movie of all time.

But really, how can you choose such a thing? It's nearly impossible.
Not They Live? For shame.

Hahah whoops...I mean...well...it's new to me!

I'm jealous of you. I've been to Toronto...Maine...Virginia Beach... :(

How old were you at the time?

Damn you are lucky, I want to travel so bad. Mexico is the only international location I have been to.
Hahah whoops...I mean...well...it's new to me!

WOOO VA Beach.

...Ok, so it's not really that great, but it's a cool place to live :D.
Yeah well I enjoyed it alot.

very true. fight club is most excellent. but in that case, the twist doesn't necessarily *define* the movie, at least not for me.

i did spain, france, italy, switzerland, austria, hungary, slovakia, czk republic, germany and holland.

Yeah, I thought it was a great movie. Definately NOT what I expected coming into it.
I can't decide if I want to reinstall Paint Shop Pro or install Photoshop instead.
finish GH2? then install both.
Hahah whoops...I mean...well...it's new to me!

Yeah, it was pretty crazy. London was my favorite but the experience of the red light district in Amsterdam was great. Interestingly enough, the outskirts have a lot of Asian and black women, while the center of the district has purely skinny white chicks.
How old were you at the time?

Uh... it was like a year and a half ago.

I went through partial CAG withdrawal. I only got interwebz access twice in the 2.5 weeks. Once in an arcade type place in Italy and once in an internet cafe in Germany. :[
Memento is my favorite movie. And I'm a film major. So there.
Woohoo!

Also Mak, on the note of "Psycho". I hated the movie "Psycho", I thought it was boring and stupid.

EDIT: Wow, you hit all those countries in 2.5 weeks? Wow, that is fast, I thought you would have been gone for at least a month.
WOOO VA Beach.

...Ok, so it's not really that great, but it's a cool place to live :D.
I love VA Beach. I've been there twice, and it was the first (only) place i've gone on vacation with my girlfriend. In fact, she keeps talking about how we should have our honeymoon there.

But what I don't get is, how the hell could ANYONE live there? I mean, that place is like a haven to me, a place I only see every few years. Where do the people who live there go on vacation?
finish GH2? then install both.
I'm tryingggggggggggggggg...it got really hard. :( But i'm almost done.
Woohoo!

while i can recognize the importance of psycho in the evolution of film making, i did not like it.

american psycho, i think i liked. need to see it again. the ending was righteous.
Which version of Psycho? I can agree on the Vince Vaughn version, but the original? Come on. It's not Hitchcock's best, I'll admit, but it is some fine movie-in'

You might care to know then that American Psycho has nothing to do with Psycho.

OHH GOD. *CONFETTI*

My Brother in law is trying to set up an interview for me at his office on Friday. OH GOD. WORK! FINALLY!
WORK!
Which version of Psycho? I can agree on the Vince Vaughn version, but the original? Come on. It's not Hitchcock's best, I'll admit, but it is some fine movie-in'
The original, I just didn't like it.

Also, I thought American Psycho was a sequel to psycho?

Also, Toasted Tortilla + Honey and Milk = Win.

If it's any consolation, I hate Vertigo. I don't know why. It's the only movie in my DVD collection I despise, and only own because it's so critically renowned.
Still doesn't beat that fact that I still haven't seen a Star Wars OR Godfather.
I think I just died a little on the inside.

That is it, I am driving up to your house with my Star Wars collection and I am gonna force you to watch it.
Still doesn't beat that fact that I still haven't seen a Star Wars OR Godfather.
WHAH?!? How is this possible?
