Maybe after a couple of months the AC/DC disc will clearance out, and it will actually end up costing less than if they put it on as DLC...
How come nobody's mentioned this, being it is CAG??
And for the people complaining that they have to wait a "few weeks" for the free 20 songs, well as a PS3 user I still have to wait a few weeks for the game itself, so get over it...

I have no choice but to assume the AC/DC wally promotion will bomb terribly.
Not only would I not spend that kind of money for it. I also hate live music. Yes I know AC/DC produces good sounding live material. But that does not mean I want to play live material.
Unfortunately, for those wanting this at a clearance price, I would not expect it to go on clearance anytime soon. Not with all the money Wally is spending to promote it in their stores.
Fortunately, in a few weeks we'll have access to another 20 songs. Combined with 50+ tracks from RB1, and DLC, I think most of us will have more than enough music to keep us happy until AC/DC see's $5.98 on an end cap.

Looks like we may be getting a surprise album on 10/14. Motley Crue' Dr. Feelgood. MadDawg at DVDtalk brought it to our attention. Here's a blurb about it.

Full tracklist:
"T.N.T. (Terror 'N Tinseltown)"
"Dr. Feelgood"
"Slice of Your Pie"
"Rattlesnake Shake"
"Kickstart My Heart"
"Without You"
"Same Ol' Situation (S.O.S.)"
"Sticky Sweet"
"She Goes Down"
"Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)"
"Time for Change"

Because Wal-Mart clearances are highly YMMV? Not only does it differ city to city, but every store in the same city is different.

Hey, you made your bed, now you gotta sleep in it. ;) What're you doing in here anyway? Rocking vicariously through others?
I don't really know Crue, are any of those songs must haves? I have a free song still from stride.
Definitely. Look up Kickstart my Heart, Dr. Feelgood, and SOS on Youtube.

Huh, nice surprise. Definitely in for Dr. Feelgood... I'll have to dig out the CD to remember what others I'll pick up.

It works out, too, since I was d/l'ing some stuff from the store last night and actually remarked to my friend that we needed some classic Crue to go with the newer stuff. Yay.
Definitely. Look up Kickstart my Heart, Dr. Feelgood, and SOS on Youtube.
Thanks Trak, I'll check those out.

So I decided on passing on the entire RHCP album since I didn't like enough songs and don't really have much HD space. Under 1 GB now. :(

I downloaded my favorite "Under the Bridge". Heard it on the radio yesterday and it reminded me that I hadn't downloaded any of the tracks yet so I had to do that now. Also downloaded "Breaking the Girl" and might consider buying "Suck My Kiss". Previously I bought "Snow (Hey Oh)" and "Tell Me Baby".

What I really want is the rest of the Stadium Arcadium album (yes, both discs!) and Californication. Those I would definitely buy!!!

Now bring on the Foo Fighters and No Doubt albums!

Anyone have the impossible Band challenge unlocked? I would like to do some cheesing tomorrow if anyone is up for it. I'm off all day and will just be at the house kicking back till night time. I also need the Savior one.
Isn't this like the 909090th Crue pack? Yawnfestival.
It's the firstpack. The Cruefest pack was like one Crue song and a bunch of stuff by other bands, and then they had "Saints of Los Angeles".

So, Pure Apathy just got the game and he and I played with Kurayami for a while tonight. Kurayami suggested forming a band. Apathy and I can play Hard guitar/bass (I can do some Expert) and Kurayami, while he played drums tonight, can do guitar/bass as well.

We're looking for someone who's primarily a vocalist, but I personally am willing to swap out and do vocals/drums (medium only) when needed. Anyone interested?

I have the band challenge unlocked, just send me a friend's request. I should be on tomorrow night so I can help you out with it.

For those in their early 30's or younger, I can see why Motley might be a yawnfest. But for those of us who grew up with 80's Hair Band Rock, this is a great album for Rock Band. I'll be getting it, if it's true.

Hey, if you guys need a vocalist, I'm up for it.

But wouldn't songs like Shout at the Devil and Home Sweet Home be even better. I wonder how hard it would be to play the guitar, sing and hold my lighter up :)

I'm not over-the-moon-excited for it, but I'll grab a few from Dr. Feelgood. Too bad no Girls, Girls, Girls or Shout at the Devil, but I'll take what I can get.

Very interesting on those 7 tracks - aren't most of those from that supposed leaked "free 20 songs" list? So I guess the list was from a legit source, but Harmonix has changed their mind on what will actually be included.

I'll grab Self Esteem and Push It, maybe one or two others....All Right Now & Bad to the Bone if I'm feeling goofy.

Ya, I would guess the leaked list was what playtesters were playing, and they assumed they'd be the free songs but they're actually the DLC.

I hope the Crue list is true. I'd probably have to buy:

- TNT
- Dr. Feelgood
- Rattlesnake Shake
- Kickstart My Heart
- Without You
- SOS
- Don't Go Away Mad

Depending on the pricing it might be worth it for me to get the whole CD.

Hmm, probably be in for some of the songs listed (Offspring & Screaming Trees) but wish they picked a different Against Me song . Definitely in for Montley Crue if that rumor ends up being a reality.

After seeing a couple weeks recently where songs that were rumored to be in the "free" 20 songs were released as DLC, I really wonder what the 20 songs will be. I'm thinking more and more that they won't be grade A songs, because EA already has our money so why release songs that would sell as DLC for "free". I hope I'm wrong but my expectations are not high at this point.

I just got a new RB2 Guitar and I can hear a spring shaking pretty loud inside. The strum bar doesn't seem to very resistant either. I'm still waiting on my copy of RB2 to arrive in the mail so I can't check and see if it works right now. Is that normal or did I buy a busted guitar?

Thanks
Thrustbucket is mucho loco.

Offspring, Thorogood and Static-X for me. I'll have to give the others a listen.
I'll have to listen to Thorogood and the others. But I've always put Offspring in the same category as RHCP. It sucks we got them one right after the other.

It probably wouldn't hurt to exchange it if there is any doubt...EA's replacement process is actually quite painless from what I've experienced. As long as you don't sit around waiting to send the questionable one back after they send you a new one, you're good.

actually one of the albums I suggested in the suggestion section for signing up for the 20 free songs was
Motley crue: Decade of Decadence.

Would it be easier to just return it to Best Buy and buy another one?

The banner ads on Live are wrong, saying to download the Offspring songs today. They've done this before, there must be a miscommunication with Microsoft/EA/Harmonix on when there ads are supposed to be up. Or they just forgot to say Tuesday on the ads.
