Ok, I got a replacement Xbox today and I hook everything up and surprise! another problem. My router, which works dandy with my computer hooked directly into it and my wife's computer connected wirelessly, refuses to read that my 360 is connected. You know, the little number that's supposed to be lit? Nope. Doesn't matter which port I plug it into, it just won't light up. Didn't have this problem before the ol' console went off for repairs... can anyone help? It's a Netgear 54 Mbps wireless router, model # WGR614 v6.

Yeah, tried different cable. Don't have another router. But if the computers are working fine hooked up through the router, wouldn't that mean it's working fine?

...did you really feel the need to lie in the topic?

"360 Router Problems" would've worked.

I have that same router, but v7 but I haven't had a problem with it detecting the 360. Look online for a firmware update maybe? Or go back into your 360's connection settings and fiddle around there.

Try running the network config again on your 360. I think when you get your system back it sets everything back at factory restored settings, so it probably didn't keep your internet stuff.

Oh yeah, and that would be cool if you got an elite instead of your original back, although I would only want one for HDMI.. I don't care about the extra HD space..

Panda: Eh, thought it would be funny. I'll change it if it's going to offend ultra-sensetive people.

Sinistar: Thanks, I'll try that.
I'm not 'offended' nor am I 'ultra-sensitive', I just think it's a douche move to title the thread like you did...
Wow, sorry to offend you so.

Anyway, it's not reading it again. I hate my router.
