Router/Switch Question

I am moving into a new apartment and in this apartment complex there is free internet. In my apartment there is one Ethernet port. I would like to be able to connect multiple devices, preferably wirelessly to this port. Is this possible? Will I be able to use a router? Or can I only use a switch?

Any input you guys/gals could offer would be welcomed. Thanks for your time.

EDIT - Actually, this 5 port Netgear switch is only $10 after $10 mail-in rebate:

EDIT 2 - Oops, sorry I missed that you wanted to connect wirelessly. Then I think you need a wireless access point.
