S.L.A.I: Phantom Crash Beta Test

Got the kit today. Rang my doorbell at the ungodly hour of 11:30am (I normally sleep until 2 or so).. now all I need is a PS2 :p

I may just rent it when it comes out first and then get it as a Christmas present. All the Fire Emblems, The TRU sale, and Metal Gear Solid 3 are going to tap me out.

my mom owes me like 7 grand though, so I will see if I can sweet talk her into getting it for me the day of release
 
I played for the first time last night, and I ca't really say that I enjoyed it very much. The only other beta I've done was Killzone, which I thought was great. But compared to Killzone, SLAI isn't anywhere as good, at least not yet. It may take me some getting used to, but we'll see. I was having trouble controlling the mech.
 
Got my kit tonight. Gonna play now. Look for daphatty if you are gonna be on.

EDIT: NVM. This game is terrible! The controls are shotty, graphics are so PS1, 8 player multiplayer is really 4 player (while the other 4 wait their turn), the arenas are small and difficult to manuever....

I would never pay for this.
 
Whoa. That's not a good review at all. I'm really hesitant to make a three minute drive to my brother's to play it now.

I meant extended. Been watching the Cards/ Astros game and my typing suffered due to this.



on another note, I logged into the server and tried to play a game online, but everytime I did the game told me the servers were full.

This is the first ever game I have connected and tried to play online through my router on my PS2. The way to fix this in R&C was to open the ports. Could someone tell me how to do this?
 
I just got my kit but don't know when I'll be able to play yet. :(

Yeah, it is. The longer it's open the longer we have to wait to possibly get into a decent beta.

I sincerly hope the graphics were better on the Xbox version because this game has a face that only a mother could love.

I thought the graphics were at least decent on the Xbox version so they must've degraded them.
