Original messsage: I know there's one on sale at BB this week for $15, but it handles something like 6 systems. I only need one that can handle two, and would like to spend less than $10, by which I mean more like $5. Any suggestions? Radioshack has a 4-system version, but it's $20.
New message:
I picked up a $10 3-way Intec s-video switcher, but I can also return that to get a $13 2-way model from Acoustic Research. While the third input would be nice, my real concern is quality. Will the Acoustic Research one be considerably better, or is AR all packaging and no product? (I was considering getting a receiver capable of doing this switching instead, but I might be coming into some money later in the year at which point I might upgrade to HDTV, meaning there could be a whole separate set of receiver criteria that I'm not yet thinking of.)
Speaking of which: What Gamecube analog-to-a/v cables would people recommend? If I do make the HDTV switch I'll be sending in my Cube for a refurbished one with the digital a/v out, so I don't want to spend a lot on these cable, but I don't want to get burned on bargain-basement quality either. BB carries Datel for $10 and Psyclone for $20.
