Those are my two least favorite characters in their respective series.
My least favorite character in Naruto has to be Kabuto. In Bleach, it would have to be Chad/Sado.

Kabuto's not bad, for a med nin. I don't like Kankurou, Chouji, Ino, Kiba, and Konohamaru (and friends). I only like Lee and Naruto while they're fighting.

In bleach ... Jinta, Kon, Gangyu, Yoruichi, Tessai, ... all of the shinigamis we haven't seen in action ... damn, why do I even bother?

These lists would be shorter if it was characters I like. Though the indifferent list would be longest.

My Naruto 3 order shipped today. Sblymnl, the reason it took three weeks was because the basic, or free shipping, take 5 to 14 days, or 1 week to 2.8 weeks.
Let's hope it's better than the last one ...
Well considering it's another gaiden story that has nothing to do with the main storyline, probably not. I see it as one step closer towards getting back to the main storyline.

Yes, but I had heard tales of it taking even longer than that for some people. I'm sure you'll get yours promptly. ;)

It'll be here tomorrow! nahhh!
I think I'll watch 137 today ... after I finished up Elfen Lied, Bleach 34, and the last 2 episodes of The Shield.
137 isn't a bad episode. That said, it's not a totally good one either. But it does seem like 138 will be an action filled smorgasbord.

That's good to hear. :D

Tomorrow shall be a great day! I should be getting to leave work tomorrow at noon due to the Air Show, eat lunch at a great place, and then come back and watch Naruto and Bleach. I like the sound of this so far.

I'm going to put off watching Bleach and Naruto until tomorrow. Tonight, after I finish my paper, I'm going finish off the last 6 eps of FMA. So far it's been awesome, but I'm kind of underwhelmed with Light Hoenheim's character and his whole relationship with Dante.

*SPOILERS FOR FMA!*

If it wasn't for the fact that Hoho-papa is so cool, he would suck. He's got a great attitude, especially when he first shows up. "Ummmm....Where's my house?"

But what was up with him hitting on Lt. Ross? Even that pissed me off. He just seems like a loafer to me.
But what was up with him hitting on Lt. Ross? Even that pissed me off. He just seems like a loafer to me.
Well, you've seen 45 it seems, so you understand the main part of the story between Dante and Hoho-papa. He acts like that, I assume, because he doesn't want to continue with Dante's plan anymore, and wanted to live normally. That couldn't even work for him, so he...Ummmm...I'm gonna say he found some good weed. That's the ticket. You're up to some awesome fight scenes. But I still say, if there's any character to hate in this anime, it's Wrath. I hate that little punk. Excpet for giving me one of my favorite icons (him jumping on the bed repeatedly with the phrase "I have ADD!" on it), he does nothing useful. Manga Wrath is so much cooler.
Archer is way worse than Wrath. The worst character has to be Shou Tucker, though.
But both are needed and play pivotal roles. Shou more than Archer, but Archer still has his point. People say Majahal is not necessary, but it's needed to show that even though he doesn't mean to, Ed has the ability to kill people. But I'm not sure if you've seen a certain character resurface, so you may not know why he's important again. That's the one thing I love about FMA. Every character is important. The show really doesn't introduce a character that is important to the story.
useless nurse/nun/thief lady in one of the earlier eps was not important at all though it would've been cooler if she came back
She's needed to set Ed and Al on the path that leads them to Dr. Marcoh.

How the hell was Ed able to go back to the alternate dimension thingy on the other side of the gate when he died there already?

No, the alternate dimension Ed died. Remember, alchemy there's a price for everything. In order for Ed to cross into the alternate world (ie. WWII London), a price must be paid. So the 'other' Ed who lived in WWII London died so that regular Ed could live.
Armstrong's sister was useless. ;)
She's needed to break poor Havoc for the rest of the episode. She needs to exist so we can see Potato + Tomato = Pomato! ;)
i'm a big anime fan and i have never heard of Bleach. What is it about?
It's another Jump anime dealing with a boy named Ichigo. Ichigo can see ghosts, and he does what he can to help them. When monsters attack his home town, he has no idea what's going on, and eventually meets a girl named Rukia, who's a Shinigami, or Death God. Without spoiling too much, she transfers her powers to Ichigo and he becomes a Shinigami, and must use this power to kill the monsters. It's got a lot of comedy, and at times can parallel Naruto, especially with the characters. I'd highly reccommend it. I personally like it more than Naruto, and it's probably my second favorite anime, right behind Fullmetal Alchemist.

I remember someone on the boards having that sigged, atleast now I know where it comes from. And knowing is half the battle.

I just finished watching the last episode of FMA and I have to say I'm beyond disappointed. It was fucking horrible ending to an awesome show.

But it makes sense. The whole theme of the end couple episodes of the show deals with the fact that the world isn't fair and it isn't perfect. Mustang even straight up says this. When you look at it from that perspective, the ending makes total sense. Plus, don't forget there's a movie coming out in a cuuple months (Though we won't see it for God knows how long) to tie up the story.

Just because it makes sense doesn't mean I have to like it though

Spoilers**********************

And here are some things that don't make sense: Hawkeye killed Robo-Archer by shooting his human side, but yet why didn't he die when a grenade blew up in his face? Pride was born from the failed transmutation of Hoenheim and Dante's infant, but yet why was it an adult skull that defeated him? Al completely restored Ed's limbs, but when he went back through the gate into London why did he still have his automail?

I coulda sworn they never said who Pride's failed transmutation was from. I know they explained where Envy came from, but I don't remember them saying that about Pride. I think why Ed has automail goes back to equivalent exchange. He had to give up everything that was done with the Philosopher's Stone, including his limbs. And Hawkeye has 1337 skills, so she could easily kil Robo-Archer with a gun to the human side.

Maybe I'm mistaken about Pride. I guess it was Envy that was the failed transmutation of their child. Also if Ed had to give up everything done with Philosopher's Stone then wouldn't he have to give up his life as well? I will, however, accept Hawkeye's 1337 skillz as the answer to all my questions.

He did. Why do you think it's him, instead of other world Ed in Munich? A life was given up for him to travel through the gate, and that was Alt-Ed. Though that life may have been sacrificed to get Ed back through the gate the first time. And if you think about it, he technically did give up his life, as he can't travel through the gate the way he normally would have tried, using alchemy, as he cannot use that in other world. Thus, he's become, in a way, banned from the world where everything he holds dear is.

I'm too tired to dwell on it now. They weren't important points anyways. Are the new Bleach and Naruto worth watching right away? Otherwise I think I'll put it off for another day.

Bleach- Is it worth watching now? HELL...fucking....YEAH. It was awesome, especially the ending.

Naruto- Can be put off for the night. It's okay, but nothing great.

I finally watched 137 tonight and I agree with those assessments.

fuck, hit back button on my mouse and it erased my post on my thoughts on 134-137.

Summary:

- Sucks that Naruto went down on one hit.
- Good that Naruto and gang has 3 years, I think, to get him back.
- I don't mind the filler arc as much as you guys. Jiraiya running from bodyguards at the end of 136 was funny to me.
- Can't wait for more revelant to the overall story stuff to happen. :D
- Can't wait for Naruto 3 to get here. :)
- Yay for Chouji making a return in skinny form! :D Neiji being healed is good, too, I guess. ;)
- Still needs to see Naruto commercial on CN.

So yeah, just started watching; pretty cool show.

Quick question: for those of you who use NarutoFan.com for your downloads (yes, I'm paying for it, shut up), is the download page down for you? I know I haven't exceeded my bandwidth, but all the links to the mirrors are dead for me. Anyone else getting this?

Shoulda read the front page today. All of their servers were shut down at 10pm while they switch over to a faster set of servers. They just bought 9 new ones. So no DLs till 3 or 4am I believe.

Well, there it is. Good to know that it wasn't just me.

I will now leave this thread forever to avoid any and all spoilers, since I'm barely half way through the first season (just started watching last night)...

As long as you can keep yourself from reading under the spoiler tags and such, it's not that bad. Though you can just as easily post your thoughts in the OTT if you have any questions.

That's not really fool proof. Alot of times someone will post a spoiler and all the replies referencing said spoiler will not be marked. Though I suppose we could make an effort to improve that.

It probably won't take long ... once he hits episode 48 or so (maybe even 30 ... ) it'll all be over. When I started I caught up in a week, almost 120 episodes.
