It's cool having pedestrians come up to me and going "How long's it going to be before the cops find you??"

Yep you've been playing the demo off the hook :)

Other cool things are shooting while driveing. You can free aim just about anywhere. The car explosions are off the chain also. Watching a car blow up is great. The Ragdoll Physics are awesome. Running people over is very fun to do since and see them flipping threw the air. I also tossed a pipe bomb on the train track. The whole train didn't derail and fall down like that one video I saw instead it derailed and the first car was just swinging/hanging over the edge while the 3 other peices where on the track still knocked over.

I say when this game comes out it will probably get a 8/10 all around.
 
I finally got the demo and played a little bit. Can you only use the pistol in the demo? I could not find any "good" guns. The Pipe Bomb was neat though.....blew up a cop car. I think this game will be great. A GOOD GTA rip-off....

no, i've gotten an automatic/uzi and a 12 gauge on it.

I had an Uzi and a shotgun also.

I just Free Roam. You should find the Shotguns on cops when they try to kill you, thats if you are committing some crime ;). I found the Uzi on a gang member that was tring to kill me.

I just ran over gang members and they pulled them out. The 12 gauge was from a cop. Ha, I still haven't done any missions in this demo yet.
 
Got mine demo for pre-ordering it. This game so far is better then any GTA. Its awesome. The only thing I would like to see would be for the all the autos to have different handling. The way the police chase, flying out of the windshield, oh and so much more. I'm loving this game already.
 
Went to Best Buy yesterday and they had like 25 of them . Paid 5 bucks for it. I believe this game is going to sell a lot of copies. Lets hope that maybe Play-Asia will have it for 40 dollars. I hate paying 60 bucks for a game,but of course if the game is a must-have i will bite. To me the game is way better then GTA but that is just one cheapasses opinion. Maybe i just like Caping people.... Peace.............

Just came from my local EB Games. Asked the girl if they had the demo cd and she yes. I asked her if I had to preorder and she looked at the manager and he said just to give them out.

Awesome game so far.
 
I found it all sort of underwhelming, probably from some subconscious brand loyalty from GTA. On the gun note, I also got one of those magnums from the rednecks. The little things are the best part though, I agree. I love how you can abort a mission even Story one with a press/hold of a button. Might pick it up if Fry's has a sale.

I'm not too crazy about the camera when you're in cars, but it's a pretty good game so far.
 
I picked up the demo at gamestop and this game really seems to have everything working for it imo. Its looks great graphically, audio is good and its just a lot of fun to play. Once we get our hands of the full retail version and we have access to the whole game world I'm sure its just going to get better plus you get to play this online. It's going to be crazy online.
 
Wow, I forgot about online play.....whoa.

Any soundtrack listing yet? I'm curious what will be in there. I wonder if they'll handle custom soundtracks differently....instead of just playing constantly like most games do.
 
I'm not sure about the soundtracks but I remember Cheapy saying in is podcast he might be create a CAG gang for the online mode where everyone wears CAG colors. If we could get a bunch of people to go online and form a CAG gang that would be a blast.
 
Picked it up today with a 5.00 reserve at EB. It didn't hit me that I'll be in college when the game comes out until I left the store. I hope they don't have a problem with me taking the 5.00 and moving it to Dead Rising later.
 
hmmm I guess i'll be stopping by EB at lunch today.

the biggest turnoff for this game is the "Thuggin Baller Gangsta" attitude. Might as well make you eat Trex eggs like Chapelle

I think I'm gonna have to start compiling my Gangsta Rap soundtrack for this game.
 
My biggest gripe:

The scenery needs more give to it. I find myself crashing into things that can easily be ran through, in real life (and in GTA).

Saint's Row is missing some pretty - what feels like - basic things that GTA has, that I really wish Saint's Row had... and this comparison is within it's rights, as it is a GTA clone.

Nonetheless, seems like a great game so far. Very excited to try the online play.

So far, that's my only complaint. I really enjoyed the game. I also noticed that there's no blood, is that cause its a demo? Doesn't matter either way. Got it paid at GR, just waiting for it to come in. Hope it doesnt take too much time away from our Chromhounds Squad games ;)
 
Is Gamestop giving out the demos too? How about Gamecrazy? If so, I might have to stop by later on today and get a copy.
 
Yea Gamestop has demos too, but mine was sold out.

Does anyone elses xbox make a light clicking noise when it reads the demo in the begining? :whistle2:/
 
Ok my drive isn't clicking now...maybe there was a piece of dust or something on the disk, who knows.

This game is really sweet though. I picked up a shotgun from the popo and died in a heated gun battle.
 
I'm playing it now and I LOVE all the little touches...like how an old person's cain goes flying when you hit them or how the music will keep playing if you get out of a car and you're still near it.

A car hit me and I flew ontop of it. I then stood up as the driver started screaming (I guess because she hit me) and started driving fast. Well she hit a sign, which flew back, whacked my guy right off the car, and sent him rolling on the floor!
 
The demo i got from BB when i shoot at people blood does come out of them when i hit them but the then it dissappears................

Anyway I was playing this demo yesterday and everyone on my friends list was sending me messages, and voice chats. Wanting to know where I got the demo from. Luckly my headset broke, oh wait :cry:

I had a similar experience yesterday as well. I jumped on top of the hood of a fat lady's car, she started screaming and driving like a maniac, I was hood surfing and she hit a cop car, the cop then chased her, pulled her out of her car and started beating her. :D

That video looked sweet. In a preview I read and the video both stated there are 4 online modes, but the "making of" movie on the demo disc says there are 8.

It'd be sweet too if we could have unique logos to put on our shirts and stuff for a CAG gang.

The thing that definatly makes the game is the Havok engine, it would make any game that much better.
