I have two of these keyboards - a blue one (not backlit) and this red one. Had the blue one for almost 6 years and the red one for almost 2 years and they're both extremely reliable and durable as well. These are the only keyboards I actually use.

I've played both Counter-Strike Source and World of Warcraft about two years back with this keyboard. It worked perfectly fine but I'm not much of a PC gamer anymore. To answer your question, I do find it works great for both MMOs and FPS games.
 
I have the blue one, and have used that when I played WoW years ago. From my experience it's just a fancy looking keyboard, but a keyboard all the same; nothing special performance-wise.
