cool, I'm always a sucker for Steelbook editions when they are priced right.
I haven't seen the movie but I heard it was pretty good.

Out of curiosity, how do you order from FS? Every time I try to order it gives me some "You can only use letters, numbers, and spaces" message when I enter my zip code.

FS doesn't ship to US. You need a friend or family address that lives within Canada. The CC billing address works with US address & phone #. Once you place your order, you need to verify your order by phone after 24 hours. They'll send you 3 emails per 5 days if you don't verify it, that's about 15 days long for non-verification before it get canceled. If you need to change/update your info, cc, shipping address, or cancel item, you must contact by phone. Online wouldn't work because the shipping address are mixed with the US billing address. If you're using debit card, your order is automatic, no verification required.

It's $20.99 on Amazon right now, so it's $4 + tax on the whole purchase to get the steelbook.

Not a terrible cost, all told.

Wasn't there a $5 off coupon on DVDs? Saw stack of Sony DVDs with these coupons @ Target... so 24.99 - 5 coupon = 20 Not bad for a steelbook huh?

:lol::lol::lol::lol: I just cancelled my pre-order for the rather weak "Town" BB exclusive which seems to be just the Blu-ray disc (rather have the combo pack for this one) for the "Salt" steelbook. Combo pack I wonder/hope?
This movie was fucking stupid as hell. I saw it with movie cash and felt ripped off. Just a different opinion for you blind buyers.
Same. After watching 8 seasons of 24 then seeing this, I was thoroughly underwhelmed. It was boring, stupid and predictable.

Yep, if you've seen any recent Bond, Bourne, or 24, you've seen Salt's entire playbook already.

Thank you. It's just better to get into group buys for me then.

I'll probably use my $5 reward zone certificate on this.

I guess BB is having a 1-disc version of The Town like Walmart has done with some movies in the past, so that one is a cancellation as well.

Well that sucks!

This movie was all right.

They released it alongside Inception though, so everyone was all over Chris Nolan's Jock while this movie was out.

Decent popcorn movie.

Canceled old order at $24.99, made a new order at $19.99.

Since it's been jumping in and out of my Gold Box on Amazon at a little under $20, getting the steelbook for $22 after tax is well worth it.

Well I don't mind if this one doesn't have the dvd with the blu ray. Retailers are starting to jack up combo discs again and I can live with holding out til netflix gets them so I can back them up on my zune.

Nice! Mine is cheaper I got it for only $14.99. I just peeled 2 copies of that $5 dollars coupon and used it without buying another movie...
My store has 5 copies out, bought 3 and leaves 2 for other collector.
Wow, was it hard to leave the other two copies and just take 60% of their stock they had out for display?

Where do you see the $5 coupon @? I think I just saw it on the back of the Salt Kiosk to save $5 off when you buy this & select Fox DVD titles. Do I have to buy them first or just peeled the sticker which is the size of a wallet card.

No real surprise on the price drop on this, considering RedBox/Netflix just got Salt available today due to the 4 week delay. We can expect to see blus, particular exclusives like this, start dropping significantly a month after release...

I want to order this from the website if i do will i get the steelbook? or did i have to go to the store for that? Also can you use reward zone certs to buy stuff online?

I went to pick up my in-store pickup order and the rep who fulfilled the order picked the wrong one. :bomb: Of course, my store doesn't have any more, so they found another one a couple stores away and had them hold it for me. I'll be picking it up tomorrow morning.

Yeah, BB is pretty useless about picking the right version of an item, especially if it's a rare BB exclusive. Their in-store pickup system needs serious help. (would it be that hard to require them to scan the UPC before checking it in as "available"?)

same thing happened to me

She said she'd address the issue personally and make sure it didn't happen again.

That is why I hate store pickup and decided to avoid this pain for this order. Call the 1-800 number and they might send you a gift card for the trouble.

I always escalate this problem with the floor manager and show him that I'm very upset. In the end, I always get $5-$10 dollars discount. It happened to me on Cyber Monday I tried to pick-up some bluray movies that i ordered online and in-store pick-up. I received an e-mail from BB that it's already ready for pick-up. When i got there. One of my Bluray movies was in DVD version. I was upset. One of BB employee even have guts to tell me to go upstair and get the Bluray that i ordered. I got pissed when he told me that. "I said NO! You go and get it I don't F*ng work here and that's ur F*ng job. I'm came here expecting that my order is ready to pick-up. Then i demand to talk to their manager." The manager was very sorry and gave me $10 dollars discount for the inconvenience that they have caused. hahaha!

Normally, this isn't an issue, so this being a problem was a surprise.

I did manage to get it at the other store I went to this morning, so I had the item in-hand and had BB.com phone support cancel the order.

I addressed it with the ops manager at the store in question and she said it wouldn't happen again. That's all I was looking for.

Again, I normally don't have issues with store pickup, though next time I get an item pickup notice for something potential rare like this steelbook, I'll call and check on it.

Not trying to defend - but this time of year they have a bunch of n00bs off the street who are more likley to mess up like this.

Anyway - I love the artwork on this and in-store levels were amazingly low (less than 10 in most places other than the REALLY big, busy locations). So if this is still on bby.com then I would jump on it.
