Samba de Amigo & Maracas valuable?

Just wondering if Samba de Amigo and the OFFICIAL Sega Maracas are worth any more than I paid for them. I see less and less of them on eBay, last time I saw them the set (game and maracas) were going for about MSRP (when they were released) so about $150. Anybody seen anything higher (or lower)? I think this is truly the most "rare" thing in my collection.
 
Yes, I would say those are hard to find/valuable. The fact they retain retail value (or more... retail was ~$80, right?) used for an accessory that was for just one game is pretty good, I think. I wish I had bought them when they were sold in stores, but that was before I had my own source of income. :\ I'm still looking for them, and I guess I'll eventually have to get them off ebay when I have more money to blow.

Did you pay MSRP for them?
 
Am I the only one who thought Samba was one of the lamest music games released in the US? I just found the maracas to be inaccurate -- a no-no for these types of games. I love just about every other rhythm video game out there.

Were you using the official Sega maracas? Out of my two sets (bought on release day), both worked great for a long time; now, one doesn't respond as well, but I put a lot of hours into that game, so that little bit of wear and tear is acceptable. Third party maracas, or heavily used Sega ones, might be less reliable.

I haven't played many rhythm/music games, but out of the ones I've played (Parappa the Rapper, UmJammer Lammy, Samba de Amigo, Donkey Konga, and DDR Ultramix), Samba is my favorite. I'd even go as far as to say that Samba de Amigo is one of my favorite games of all genres.
 
If you ask me, the maracas were far to inaccurate (and yes, I was using the official Sega ones). I actually preferred playing with the controller. Of all the US released music games I've played, I've probably spent the least amount of time with Samba.
 
Samba is one of the funnest music games period. The maracas are a little touchy, but if you shake em the right way they are nothing but accurate. Hooray for obscure music games (with monkies!).
 
I've spent about 700 hours with Samba de Amigo & Samba de Amigo 2000.
I have two sets of official Sonic Team Maracas, and they are nothing else than - MUST HAVE !!
