San andreas already going for $100 on ebay

Also I see no GTA:SA ps2 pc or xbox on eb.com. Did they pull them all?

no a federal ruling made it so everywhere had to pull it.

i was going to go hoard.. but they are barely hitting 50 now.. so i imagine by next week the prices will bottom out.. seeing as how this game is more common then an STD.
 
I would seriously consider paying $50 new if Rockstar released an AO version with the mini-game included as a regular part of the game (no tricks needed to access it), but paying top dollar for something that you still have to use cheats/hacks to unlock isn't worth it to me.

Are you sure about that? My Block Buster is still renting that game.

The game sucks though so I don't see why anyone would want to buy it.

We pulled it all from the shelves and put all the copies in the back. I think they're still sellable though if you come in and ask for one...at least that's what my store's doing.

If you're talking about EB, they're doing that in my area as well.
 
I said this way back like a month ago. This is a marketing tool to drum up interest and therefore more sales for RockStar. They are smart and they know what they are doing. Look what is happening! People are flocking to buy the game that has already sold millions and millions.

I still see this in serveral Blockbusters, and just saw some copies on the shelf at Fry's this morning (Los Angeles Area). So I guess they never got the memo. Still regular price: $39.99, which is way too much to pay for that piece of crap.

I was just in Block Buster. They pulled all of their copies of GTA SA.

Is there even a way to unlock the Hot Coffee content on the Xbox version?

I was talking about the Guy Game... I was quoting someone who had mentioned the Guy Game was pulled everywhere.. yet my Block Buster still rents it.

My block buster won't rent GTA SA now... this is stupid. You can watch video of a girl under 18 in the Guy game... but cartoon porn that is hidden in the game of GTA is pulling it from the shelf..

Not yet, but since there's a Action Replay for Xbox, it's only a matter of time before we know.

Umm.. i've had the hot coffee mod on my XBox for about a week now using Action Replay.

EDIT: Just checked and it's been since July 14th.. so.. it came out somewhere between July 12th and July 14th. There was also a code for it on the PS2 version using action replay.

I think I even mentioned in this thread that the save was pulled from codejunkies.com and gamefaqs.com but people are still uploading it all over the 'net.
 
am i missing something? people are paying this much to get one with an M instead of AO tag?

Well i guess people are willing to pay more for a label that does not say GH on it.

with my luck if i tried to do this, as soon as i go buy a few can andreas, then the price will drop.

This is on a used copy. I also bought it from Best Buy when you could include any greatest hits game for $5. I ebayed that game for about $18. So in all I made 66 paid in 59. Not bad making 7 bones and playing a game for 30 hours
 
I went to go get Phantom Dust from EB Games at Gwinnett Place Mall in Atlanta and the guy said they were still selling it, you just have to ask for it. They do not want to turn anyone away who wants it, but they can't have it on the shelf due to it's new rating.
 
woot! mine is up to $75.99 with 5 hours left (5 day auction, i just lucked out in my timing) I did go to a couple of rhino video games and traded in MLB 2006, Mercenaries (xbox), Mercenaries (ps2), Nascar 2005, Resident evil 2, & Resident Evil 4 and picked up 3 new copies of GTA SA for xbox and they are going to ebay as we speak...
 
Well since I was sitting on so much FYE/Wherehouse credit I snatched the last 2 XB and the last 2 PS2 versions. Also picked up a used PS2 version from the same Wherehouse. I'm going to list one of the new PS2 GTA's with a NIB AR Max w/ 16mb memory card. I paid about $110-$120 getting the credit to get this stuff. We'll see how it all works out.
 
My sealed PS2 version just sold as a BIN for $73. Haha, gotta love it. Never got around to playing it--good thing I kept it sealed. I want the XBOX version anyway :)
 
I think the reason people are buying it like crazy is because they think that it's not getting re-released again. (in the fall I think?)
 
went to FYE, and used $250 credit to buy 5 xbox copies.......of course, i didnt think to buy them all seperately to get 5 different $10 off coupons.....boo =[
 
I called my FYE and they pulled it . . . crap . . . would have been a good use of credit.

I got 2 for Xbox at EB (with credit) and listed one as a 7 day auction. I think the value is going to increase for a while.

The game is going to be scarce everywhere but ebay . . . the few stores selling it will be empty and won't receive new shipments.

I don't think the industry (and Rockstar) can have it rated "Adults Only" . . . so, there will be no more new copies of the original. Yes, there are millions of used ones but people still have to find them (I'm not giving up my personal copy).

Weird, looks like ebay pulled it from their automated listings--entered the UPC but they had no preset info . . . I typed in "Grand Theft Auto" and every GTA but SA came up.

On a another nor my local GC has a bunch of copies just lying around in the back, with nothing better to do. I wonder what's to become of them.

Noticed that too.....just did a sell similar to an existing auction.
 
Well..two of my sealed copies are up right now and no one is watching them or has bidded on them. Granted they've been up for about 3 hours i suppose, but i was expecting something. My Used PC version is up to 25 bucks with like six days left.

I don't know if it was posted before..but FYE is now giving a Mail-in Rebate on GTA San Andreas for the Xbox. It's for 20 bucks. So basically i got a copy for 30 bucks, that i got from their credit..which i had already ripped them off with. Not too shabby.

FYE also is running the spend $30 get a $10 credit promotion
 
more of a margin on the ps2 since i only paid 28 for them.
The Xbox copies i only made about 10 bucks each, since eBAy is starting to get flooded with copies and i wanted to sell them. i bought them last nite for 50 at FYE. But considering i used all store credit and i traded things in for about 3 times what i paid for them, its just a quick way to turn store credit into cash, which is what my goal was.
 
I'm debating going back to FYE and seeing if i can get more of those 10$ off coupons. Shouldve made 5 different transactions, but i wasnt thinking about it until i bought it and the guy gave me 1 coupon.
I'm wondering if its worth the hassle of going to the store and offering to either return the games and buy them again, or have them print me out 4 more receipts with a manager sign off for 4 more coupons.....$40 is a good incentive for a cheapass
