I can't believe this. I stayed up until 3 last night writing a paper that actually isn't due for another 2 days. Oh well, it's done. That's good I suppose.

Also crymnl, I just saw how you pointed out that I mixed up the Declaration of Independence and the Emancipation Proclamation in the political forum. Good lord do I feel like a dumbass. :x #-o ](*,)

Nice, I've got to do a Game Doc, which is at least 20 pages, rough draft done tonight and get the final draft turned in by friday. So I'll be busy for the rest of this week.

Niiiice... but I need to bug the shit out of my dad to get harry potter since apparently I haven't said it enough times in the day. Comparing to the 3rd, the first two suck ass. But I liked the 3rd so much I saw it like 5 times in theater. Granted, the director DID fuck up some things, but I'm tired of people bitching. He created so much (darker) atmosphere and depth to it in return, and it really paid off IMO. I've said this before but it was the first movie to give me cravings to go see it again in theaters even minutes after already seeing it. I just absolutely need to own it, and ASAP.

My sister is a nut for the books/movies, and basically forced me to watch the movies one night. They're a nice watch, especially if you're just looking for a popcorn movie. Don't expect Kubrick or Stone and you'll leave them very satisfied.

Nope. People have their own tastes. I'm just expressing mine,

I don't know where all this hatred for Harry Potter comes from. They're quality books, and the movies are decent, though the third one rocked compared to the other two. I mean, I've enjoyed reading all five of the books and can't wait for the next one to come out.

I know, completely, but some people don't really think HP is a "cool" thing to like (not really directly to any of you - but a lot of people in my school are like this) so they just say they hate it to be totally rad. Most haven't even read or watched at all, but what can you do... *sigh*

I got it the first day it came out with a PM at CC of the deal that they had at CompuUSA. $12 and some change isn't bad. I loved the third movie also. It so far is the best in the series. That goes without saying that the third book is my favorite fof the five (or is it technically seven since she did write the book on monsters and Quiditch,hmm.... ).

Well I hate Harry Potter, so at least someone said it.

I thought Harry Potter sucked just because it was aimed to kids and I hate kiddy shit, but I watched the 2nd movie once and thought it was pretty good so I no longer think the franchise sucks. I'm still in no hurry to watch the other movies or read the books.

Well, that's a little stereotypical... but... if you thought the 2nd was good, you definitely owe it to yourself to eventually watch the 3rd. It is (IMO) a hell of a lot better. Though maybe I'm biased since the 3rd is my favorite book also, 4th close behind. Lupin is one of the most awesome characters ever to me.

I'm more of a Sirius Black person my self. Lupin was cool in all but I dunno, I just thought Black was way wicked and mroe cool. I too hold the 4th behind the 3rd with the 5th after that.

Come on...We all know the true best character that's introduced in the third book/movie is Sirius. Now he's the awesomest character ever.

Same, then 2nd and 1st, even though 2nd had a damn cool storyline, and 5th I didn't really enjoy all that much, it was more important to the series I guess, and normally I forget a lot of things that were great about it until I read it again. But, I have a sort of mild fetish with Lupin, or anything that involves him. He's a dada teacher (definitely my favorite subject in HP, potions being second), a WEREWOLF, and just... ... [] so Sirius is only 2nd to me.

I've got issues with Sirius.

Not the character, mind you. The girl that I've had a crush on for the past year uses his as her main screenname. I've gotten to the point where seeing the name anywhere makes me drift off into a warped world of happiness and pain, dreaming of the girl that will never be mine...

But that's depressing, and completely irrelevant to anything.

It's gettin dark and windy outside. Storm's a'brewin'...again. Maybe having rain from 6AM until 2PM wasn't enough...
So who's your favorite of the three, Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, or Hermoine Granger?
I've gotta say as far as the books go, Harry, but as far as movies, Hermoine jumped to the top of the list when she punched Malfoy. That was awesome.

I forgot to answer my own question. Anyway I kind of have them tied. It's really up there between Ron and Harry. Harry is sort of cooler in the later books as he gets all dark, very much like Luke in Empire Strikes Back.
