Saving GC games in SD card?

superspiffy

CAGiversary!
Is this possible? I'm playing Roque Strike on my Wii, but it's giving me a message about how there is no GC mem card inserted, and games cannot be saved. Doesn't the SD card compensate for this though? What gives?

^ You're right. No saving in GC games in anything other than the GC memory cards.

The SD card and internal Wii memory work for Wii-related saves only (games, VC, channels, Miis, etc).

SD cards are only for backup for Wii games, and for putting VC games on there. You can't even save directly to an SD card.

This, like everyone said, can't be used with GC memory.

damn that really stinks. why do they make you buy a gc mem card when you can save it in a perfectly good sd card. i guess itll require a good deal of programming on their part to make the virtual gamecube "talk" to the wii OS and do stuff like that.

If you can't, it would be nice if you could copy Gamecube saves to an SD card (even if you can't run them from there) like how you could store Playstation 1 saves on a Playstation 2 card).

or how you put the saves from PSOne and PS2 games to your hard drive on the PS2. Has anyone gone to the manage files and see if you could actually save it to the SD card, or copy to it? Sure you'll still need a cube memory card to work, but you could manage your files better.
