NO HORDING! ;-)

Yeah, I have he special edition. this rocks.

The Special Edition is $20 at right stuf. 23 shipped.

Also, as an aside, the uniforms in Killzone appear earily similar to the armor in jin Roh, Stray Dogs, etc.

I might grab a copy for my cousin he likes anime, but i dunno if he will like this, it might be too gorey for him, how violent is it?

I rented this movie and it would not play in my PS2.[/quote]

Was it really scratched up or would it just not play on the ps2, because Im upstate at college and only have my ps2 to play dvds on.

It can have some pretty rough "war-like" sequences or whatever you'd like to call them...easily put it becomes aparent that they rated it R for decent reason.

You know for only $5 it would be a good thing to tack on an order to put you over $25 for free shipping. I know if I didn't already have the SE I'd grab it in no time.

I bought Princess Mononoke brand new, and it would not work on my PS2 immediately after I opened it, but it was fine on my XB and PC.

Yes this is a great deal for a great film. For those who haven't seen it, don't think it's all guns-blazing action, this is actually a thinking man's anime, much like the Patlabor movies. A couple of action scenes bookend the movie, but it's all about the relationship between a man and a girl at opposite ends of a war.

It's use of Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf as a metaphor is about as subtle as a 2x4 to the forehead, but it's still an interesting and original animated movie.

You aren't missing much by getting the standard version, the SE has the soundtrack which I never listened to as well as a featurette disc which was a little too modest with it's information.

damnit, damnit, fuck, damnit.

yay. feeling better now. anyways, just to let you all know it's back up to $23 something again. i made the mistake of saving this little lovely in my favourites thinking it would still be 'alive' when i got home from work. argggggggggggggggggggggggh.

If I recall correctly it's directed by the same person as the patlabor movies so there's going to be a lot of non-action moments.

Action content is a bit violent for kids but the parts that arnt violent will bore them. This is mature story telling, not aliens and laser blasters.

Didn't Mamoru Oshii direct the Patlabor movies?

I got mine and watched.. Oh man this is awesome. I suggest this to anyone who likes a more serious Anime experience.
