I haven't seen this anywhere on CAG, so just thought I'd let everyone know that the first two Scarface screenshots have appeared on 1up.com.
 
I got the new issue of EGM today. I was really disapointed because I thought that it was going to have a huge blowout on Halo 2 in it.
 
yeah, i agrre with cheapy that it will be a cheeeeeeeeeeeesy GTA gameplay ripoof(hopefully it wont be cheesy but it most likely will like all of GTA's predescessors)
 
Honestly, even if it does the GTA formula 100% correctly I think its going to be a terrible game. Scarface just does not lend itself to a video game and it pisses me off they're going to ruin such a good flick.
 
EGM (electronic gaming monthly) has a few pages of screen shots, looks good just hope the gameplay is good.

I think it will do ok because of the want be gangstas will buy, but they need some of the rap community to get behind it and push it. They all have the dvd.
 
They aren't actually changing the ending. You just assume that Tony Montana dies, but the game says he manages to survive. It's not a change, it just takes 'suspension of disbelief' to ludicrous levels.

BTW this game will blow.
 
This game looks so bad. Can you say DRIV3R?

The funny part is EGM trying to hype it up and make it sound like it won't totally suck (something I noticed going back and reading their Driver 3 preview as well). Tisk tisk tisk...

When I read that in EGM, I nearly shat myself. That's like making a game based on the second Death Star NOT being blown up!

Tony (like the Death Star) OBVIOUSLY went out in a blaze of glory/defeat, and it should not be sullied by some shit game.

PS. I'm sure George Lucas WOULD alter Return of the Jedi and have the Death Star survive, if he thought he could make an extra penny off a new viseo game. :?

Dude, he dies... No way could he have survived all of that.
 
yeah as soon as I saw the screens, crap came to mind. It looks like a Vice City rip off (even though VC kinda ripped scarface off) and the shooting physics looked like something out of Dead to Rights.

This game will blow.
 
I've seen and read about Scarface and yea it looks bad but that's just a preview of it...They are going to change some stuff to it...just wait and see...
 
There is no way that him surviving will make ANY sense. The guy was pumped full of lead with around 600 bullets. THEN he fell into a pool and just floated there...........
 
When I saw the cover for this in EGM I thought it looked not bad since it is one of my favorite movies, but this just sounds horrible. I guess this proves that some movies shouldn't be made into games. I'm thinking that the game industry needs to learn that similiarily how someooks shouldn't be made into movies, and vice a versa, the same thing can be said to movie to games.

yea it has I got mine last week. it looks like a mix between dead to rights and GTA.
 
I feel like crying after finding out that a game based on Scarface is coming out.

The game is totally gonna suck and everybody knows it. How the hell could you change the ending of the film? This is almost as bad as the rumors of Def Jam replacing the 80's music with gangsta rap for the DVD special edition last year.

Anything to make a buck...
