I love Nintendo. They really hook up video game retail employees. So I opened the store today, covering for kids who went to E3, and part of our distros had a very small envelope. I opened it up, and there it was, the new Fire Emblem with a nice note thanking the Store Manager. So when the manager came later today, lets call him Bob... I said "Hey Bob, I know you're not going to play that, and I'm the only employee that has it reserved, what do you say?" and he said "Can you work for me next Saturday?" Naturally I complied, and now I have my free Fire Emblem almost a week before its out, I am soo happy. GO NINTENDO, add this to the list of Wario Ware Touched! and Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, which I also got for free. Gotta love Nintendo.

edit: oh yeah if you work at an eb or gamestop bug your manager for the game, because they more than likely got one

huh... now that's interesting. Gotta be one of the best promo offers I've heard of in a while. Congrats on the score, and jedi mind trick used to acquire it

trust me you don't. I was working for the flagship store last year, and so much drama happened in that place. The DM was the biggest asshole, just recently something came up, and I was close of going to jail for it. I went to clear it off in the end and the I told of the DM. When I was working there, Sony, Nintendo, never gave away stuff to us. microsoft in the other hand, handed free 3 month sub to XBL, Counter-Strike, Project Gotham, Crimson Skies, and some T-shirts

Exactly the opposite at mine. Microsoft and Sony never gave us free stuff, only stopped in to make sure the displays were up. Nintendo often gave free games, but only to the manager. T-Shirts were quite common. Also gave out a Donkey Konga shot glass. Believe it or not, every manager of every EB this past Christmas got a free Nintendo DS, then Nintendo gave out free copies of WarioWare Touched when it came out.. but again, to the managers only. The Nokia rep gave me N-Gage playing cards and an N-Gage t-shirt.. I firmly believe that I'm one of a hundred people in the world who actually owns an N-Gage shirt and a set of cards.

Oh, just remembered.. Sony did send one thing to the manager, a fairly large Chrono Cross clock.. it was pretty cool. And a GT4 clock.

yeah, gamestop managers got a ds as well... and all the nintendo stuff that is sent to the store is for the manager, but im lucky enough to be in a store where the manager shares the wealth all the time, the store thats 7 miles away in a neighboring town, the manager is an ass, he hoards everything and often trades it in to the store

Yup my friend who worked at EB got Minish Cap a week early...I was only slightly jealous cause I wasn't looking forward to Minish Cap (I actually still haven't played it).

Nintendo often does this. They send 'Demo' carts for there interactives... Ive scored about 6-7 of these in the past (and sold them). Sony only gave me a free copy of Syphon Filter, and Microsoft gave me some demos.

I meant demo as in "Not for Resale" versions. They are often called 'Demo's' my Nintendo Reps.

I visited my friend the other day at the local gamestop. I had my GBA on me and we were talking about gaming (advance wars) and he said Nintendo just gave him a free copy of the new Fire Emblem (he's the Manager).

I mentioned how much I liked the first game and if he planned on playing it. He said no and just gave it to me for nothing I even offered to give him $15 for it and he refused.

He just saved me probably $25
