WHAT!? Birdemic for $8?!!!

I saw this and immediately ordered 2 copies for in-store pickup (not even kidding)... and I'll probably be standing at the door waiting for it to open at 10am... and I'm thinking I should've ordered at least 3 copies!

This is the deal of the century!!

Oh, BTW, Birdemic is the best incredibly bad movie ever and everyone must witness its glory... most likely in an intoxicated state... it makes Plan 9, Troll 2 and Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus look like the friggin' Original Trilogy/Citizen Kane (in terms of the 'good' movie spectrum, anyway)

EDIT:
Oh, yeah, and I got D&D, Scream Trilogy, RE 1+2... blah, blah, blah

BIRDEMIC!!! (I feel like the Birdemic version of the "Space Core" from P2)
isnt anybody else gonna pick up the Human Centipede?
I hope you're joking... I really, honestly do.

Birdemic may be bad, but at least it's amusingly so.

EDIT:
I'd only get that movie if it came with a Human CentiPad
isnt anybody else gonna pick up the Human Centipede?
Already own it. It's pretty hilarious, but grueling. The deleted scene on the disc is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

I must get Birdemic though.

in for Shoot 'Em Up with its 7.1 track...damn tempted on the Scream set, but IDK, 10-1 says there will be a box set when the 4th comes out on disc, and the first 3 movies may get the 2-disc treatment inside that..

Man, HOUSE OF FLYING DAGGERS, CARLITO'S WAY and DEEP BLUE SEA are movies that I love, and $8 each is a great price ....

Scream 1,2 and 3 are lionsgate releases, Scream 4 is Anchor Bay. Chances of a box set are very low.

picked up Smokin' Aces, Beerfest, Terminator 3, Bad Boys, Starship Troopers, Shoot'em Up 52 bucks woooooo!

never thought of it like that, thanks for the input!

Scream 4 did not do well at the box office, so we can pretty much count out Lionsgate releasing director cuts of the first 3, so this would be a great chance to pick them up on the cheap.

Nope. Not riding that "gravy train" again. Thanks though. Thanks for the memories.

LMAO BIRDEMIC. totally in for one of those! It's so sad that the director of that movie was trying to be very serious about that flick in his attempt at making it a romantic horror movie. What an epic fail...

Human Centipede is actually one of the better B-rate horror movies i've seen imo. It isn't scary really, but is quite intense and soooo disgusting. I saw it on netflix instant queue, so it was free-ish. I would never buy it.

I'm also in for Scream 2 and 3. I bought 1 at Costco for the same price last week, so this is a good way to complete my set =). Btw, Scream 4 was AWESOME to those of you who haven't seen it and like the original 3. 4 is just as good as the original, if not better.
chances of amazon price matching the scream movies ?
Amazon has lowered the price on the Scream movies to $9.49 each, which is cheaper than BB's sale with shipping factored in if you're not doing in-store pickup.

I'm tempted to pick up NBK if only for the price and because it's a digibook, even if it's the R-rated cut. Anyone else contemplating this?

EDIT: Nevermind, it looks like it is the Director's cut even though the info is from the digibook. The one on display in-store is this version.

Awesome, I just saw Scream 4 tonight and thought to myself "I need to get the first 3 on blu-ray." This topic couldn't have come at a better time, thanks OP!

I was kind of disappointed with Scream 4, even though some people are saying it was as good as the original. I didn't really buy the ending, it seemed a little off to me, I thought it could have been executed a little bit better. I mean the opening of the film was really clever and of course it's a real thrill to try to figure out who the killer(s) is, like all the other Scream films, but I don't think this sequel was worth the 10+ years wait. If the intent of Scream 4, like Human Centipede, was to shock, Human Centipede left a better impression on me. I'm interested in disturbing horror films, so that film was right up my alley.

I'd never even heard of Birdemic until you guys started talking about it, I just watched the trailer and I don't think it's for me. It looks laughably bad, it reminded me of The Room which I saw on Adult Swim a while ago, although all the good stuff was censored.

Scream's purpose was never to disturb. It purely went for the cheap scares (you know, turning around and getting shanked) and "Clue" storylines in order to keep you guessing on who's the killer. In no way did any Scream ever disturb me. Saw, Hills Have Eyes, Human Centipede, and sometimes Nightmare on Elm Street are disturbing. Scream, I Know What you Did Last Summer, Friday the 13th, Halloween, and others are not disturbing at all. They are just cheap scares and stereotypical characters full of cliche dialogue. Scream 4 was so great because it made fun of that stereotype of slasher films all while keeping the same feel of the originals.

It was a genius slasher flick in my mind. There hasn't been a clever twist on slashers in MANY years, but Scream 4 was refreshing and original while not venturing too far from its roots.

Yeah, the Scream movies were never about shock. They're just fun slasher movies and you shouldn't take them for anything more than that.

Even though I already own it on HD-DVD, I picked a copy of CASINO. It came with a free ticket to FIVE FAST, which I was going to pay to see anyways. I essentially got a free Blu-ray out of it.

Thanks OP!

I'm a fan of Birdemic (as witnessed by my earlier post) and a fan of MST3K... but Birdemic almost seems too easy for the Rifftrax guys. I'll definitely have to check it out along with "The Room" riff.

As for the Birdemic sequel, I'm worried that it's not going to be anywhere close to as entertaining/call-the-FAIL-wagon terrible... but considering it's in 3D, I'm prepared to at least have a headache from badly done 3D shots.... BRING IT ON!!

Oh, and Tommy Wiseau needs to get on it and release the Blu-ray version of "The Room" along with his 3D version, talk about a wasted application of 3D technology!

Amazon matched the majority of the titles. I picked up Birdemic for under $10 that way.
Keep in mind the Police Story 3 blu-ray isn't out yet (releases May 10th) but it is being released by a production company infamous for half-assed transfers, Echo Bridge.

Meh, if those other "half-assed" transfers were still better then the DVD counter-parts sold here.

Yeah, I know what you guys are saying. I've seen plenty of violent slasher flicks and horror movies to become desensitized to all the blood and gore. I just found the final killer's identity and motive too hard to believe, and in a way I thought it was shocking that someone like that was so psychotic that they would go to such extremes in order to achieve such a petty and contemptible goal. I know it sounds silly but I also thought there were a few kills in that movie I found were pretty brutal.

Is it any more of a silly motive than believing that if you kill the president Jody Foster will fall in love with you?

Real life killers have odd and silly motives as well so its not that much of a stretch.
Scream 1 is 7.99 on Amazon now
I was just about to post this also. Not sure if it's worthy of creating a new thread for the amazon price match, but someone will probably make it.

I already bought all three at costco for 7.99 so I could care less. :)

Too bad 2 and 3 aren't 7.99 on Amazon yet. They would have been cheaper there due to no taxes. If Amazon matches, I don't know if I should buy the trilogy again and return the set I got from BB B&M since I also need to return the set that BB.com shipped out because of their screw-up. I initially ordered the trilogy online then I decided to just get them at the store, and even though I cancelled the order, it still got shipped out because they said the cancellation never went through.

Also, just a heads up, some of these titles might have those free $10 Movie Cash codes. I saw a few copies of Bad Boys with the Blu-Ray Essentials slip cover at my BB and they had a sticker for a Battle: L.A. ticket on them. Those expire on 6/1 and you should be able to use them on any movie since they're basically just like credit card numbers with $10 credits on them. As someone else posted, Casino was one of those titles that came with a Fast Five ticket, so your store might still have copies with the stickers. And I haven't seen these myself but I've heard some copies of Resident Evil 1 and 2 come with Movie Cash for Priest. So, you're either getting a free ticket to any movie or you're getting a free Blu-Ray, whichever way you're looking at it.

You got your wish, they are 7.99 too now. It doesn't come up as that when you immediately search cuz there are 3rd parties selling them too, but if you look, you'll find Amazon itself is selling at the lowest price.
