Hey folks Of all times of the year I seem to find my best deals after Christmas. Post here some of the places you have had good luck at in the past or of any deals you hear is happening this year. I will update this post to reflect the deals

I asked a fellow CAG if there was a post Christmas BF-esque event and they said nope, not at all.

My cousin (who likes to lie alot) says there are... I dunno... Frankly I wish stores were open Christmas day so my atheist self can go shopping, heh.

Its not quite as organized as Bf but there are a lot of 25-50% off sales. Plus with stores that resell opened merc for 25-75% off(Military Exchanges do a lot of this) there is a whole lot more items in those bins.

Seasonal stuff get marked down, but regular prices seem to get jacked up due to the fact many people have those gift cards. It needs to be spent at a particular store so there's little point in reducing prices.

i can get me plenty of holiday candy and too many ornaments than i know what to do with, but hey there scooby doo, so i could careless. i am going to be keeping an eye out for these sales. the weird thing is, the weekly ads start the day after christmas this year. i don't remember that happening in my personal shopping experiece (i e the last 5 years)

I believe the "after holiday" sales are pretty good sometimes. Often, games drop in price at the start of the new year. Just something to be on the lookout for.

Its hit and miss especially on games.

I think most retailers actually try to hold up prices on many items in the early aftermath (for a week).

Why, people come in with gift cards, returns and exchanges and they try to get some higher values sales in.

In my experience, January is when you start to see some panic . . . UbiSoft giving away Splinter Cell with Prince of Persia started about Jan. 5th last year.

I agree, January usually is when the really good markdowns/sales start to happen.

BG&E for $10 happened in January last year.

EB had a lot of great stuff on sale 12/26 last year. If they are having a good sale this year, though, it hasn't been posted yet (just that thread about coupons and the deals are pretty weak).
