I just got this week's ad from Sears, and the back page said that from Sunday, July 9th to Saturday, July 15th there will be a $10 sale on games.

They only showed a couple of games and here they are:

-GBA-
Robots
Winnie the Pooh

-DS-
Pac'n Roll
SeaWorld

-GC-
Pac0Man Fever
Ty3

-PS2-
DBZ Budokai 2
American Chopper 2
Sega Classics
Ty3

-XBOX-
Men of Valor
Test Drive: EOD

-PSP-
The Hustle

I don't how many games they have, but it sounds like there will be more. The Games vary by store.

Thanks for the heads up, BLink, but I hope there end up being more games on clearance than that. The list is... well, it sucks.
Then again, it still shocks me that they sell games at Sears, so ignore me.
It's never a good thing when Winnie the Pooh GBA is the best game on a clearance list...thanks for posting anyway.
Sega Classics.

Speaking of which, that game is $5.96 on Circuit City.com and still available. Sears PM websites so you could get that game for about $5 there.

I'm almost 100% sure those prices are in the system now because I saw a cardboard display a few weeks ago at Sears that had a bunch of those games in it, all stickered $9.99.
Does SEARS have price scanners on the floor anywhere? For customer use that is.
Yes but I have never seen one near the video games. Plus some stores either have the game locked in a case or they are on peg hooks that are locked and a clerk needs a magnet key thing to unlock them

I've never seen one but the ones I go to are older stores up here in the Northeast.

I wish they would just clearance out all of their games. When I went to go pick up Ico for 5 bucks, there were a bunch of other games that looked like they had been sitting in there for a couple years.
does pac n roll suck that much?
No, it's actually quite good. In fact, it's so good you should have gotten it from the CC sale.
Why didn't you? Do you just hate yourself?;)

You should know by now, it arrived a few days ago.

I dropped by Sears just before closing and noticed they had a bunch of clearance stuff. They also had a bin with $20 and under games. I picked up Jade Empire for $10 (regular edition). I also saw Zelda: The 4 swords for the gamecube for $10.

yeah haven't opened it yet. i was wondering in retrospect whether it was worth it. and Farcry's on the way holmes.

No worries here, just seemed like an odd question. Although I'm leaning the other way now, that I may pick it up again if I see it (not that it wasn't worth it, that now I want both). The reviews I read weren't fantastic, but it seems like a perfect use of the touch screen for old school style gaming (Marble Madness style).

Sears has good games, usually, on sale. But to get those good games, you have to be there at their doors before those game bargainers go there before you and rush to the good ones leaving you with few games.

My Sears had a bin overflowing with games that aren't really worth it such as old sports titles and many platinum/greatest hits/player's choice games. Here's to hoping that all these mostly $20 games drop to $10 soon! :)

That's not fair to say for EVERY Sears store, though. I know I haven't had an issue with that, for one.

Last time they had a clearance on games I was interested in (the Classic NES GBA games), I found four of the titles in the series before they vanished. Considering that these were at a $5 price and that I didn't run out at the very beginning of the sale to find them...you might do just fine. ;)
"Clerance"??? Clarance, maybe? I had a friend named Clarance
How old was he?! 80?!

Pat, I'd like to buy an "A" for $200.

Pat: Oh, I'm sorry there are no A's.

Clarance: ... Pat, I would like to buy an A.

Pat: Clarance, I'm sorry there were no A's the first time you asked.

Clarance: .... I want some ta-quitos.

I picked up ICO for $9.99 and GC Bongos (Nintendo brand) for $7.98 the other day.

Looks the Sears stores in my area are going to quit carrying games. They are no longer in locked game display cases. Everything is now on open shelves and clearance bins.

I hate how this happens every year right after the CC clearance, every CAG on the site feels they have to list every pointless sale as it might be "the next big clearance". Take a good long look at that list, it's all crap, why bother posting this?

You've been here for 2 months, you know nothing.

Hey dude, you don't have to read this if you don't want to, please don't blame others when you think it's not a good deal. There are tons of people who didn't get what they want from other clearance and be thrilled about this deal.

It's like you walking into an Indian casino and complains about the 2nd hand smoke.

Ouch. I learn some new feature of the forum from you today. :applause:

Don't you wish there is a "slap" quota on every account so you can see how many times that person get slapped by other fellow CAGers?

I don't like to ignore anyone. I know I've probably been ignored by other people but it's not fair to say that I won't listen to everything that person has to say. Someone would have to come out and say they like to taser cats or they like kiddy porn for me to ignore them. There's something about America today that nobody wants to listen to a different opinion on anything.

Pikmin 2 and MP 2 for 10 bucks? Is this US again?! Man they get all the good deals!! Unless its Canada too...but I checked the flyer on the sears.ca website and I didnt see any video games :(

Is Wario Ware: Twisted for $10 everywhere now? Here's to hoping so if not I can get it for that price at Gamerush, just looking for another option. :)

Unfortunately, no.

But on the plus side...the reason why it's not is that it had a universal drop to $20 a few months back. Even if you can't find it at Sears, that's still a great price for the game. :D

I was able to pick up XMen Legends 2 for PS2 for $10 at the local Sears (Greenwood, IN). Other stuff was all over the place as far as prices. Nothing really appealing except for that for me.
