Anyone know if Sears and/or Costco will have 360s for sale? I figure most people will be checking out the electronics-specific stores like Best buy, Circuit city etc, so there could be shorter (or non-existent?) lines at these stores...

Both Sears stores by me had small 360 displays, so I would think so. They had the PSP on launch, so i would expect them to have a small number at least.

I bet Sears gets very small amounts, like 2 premiums and 2 cores. However, I don't think anyone else will even think of Sears for the 360 so that is a great option come launch day when people are running out of options.

If Sears for xbox 360 is anything like it was for ps2, it's a great option. I stopped by Sears after picking one up at Target during the ps2 launch because Sears opened later, and my friend and I were first in line at sears half an hour before the store opened.

Costco is my backup plan if I can't get one after camping out @ BestBuy. The lady in customer service told me they are getting 120, due to the store in Fresno being the only one in the Central Valley getting them. I dont' think alot of people will go there due to the membership needed to get in. I figure they'll get less than what she said, but if I strike out @ BestBuy, I'll go and start a line @ 8 am, they open @ 10, so a couple of hours won't hurt much.

Oh yeah I did see the info in the pre-order thread. So you work at Costco, eh? Are they only selling their bundles with an extra controller and game, or can you just buy the console?

And while we're here, anyone got the scoop on Fry's? Are they doing anything? And are there any other obscure stores that haven't been mentioned yet that anyone knows will be selling the 360?

yea, I thought about Sears too, and CompUSA. I haven't heard too much about them. I wish BB, ,Target, and Walmart wouldn't have started hyping the 360 up this week, they should have waited til next weekend, give too many people time to plan their strategies...lol

That the funny thing about launch that once the first tier stores run out (Best Buy, Circuit City, Walmart, Target) then everyone will be falling back to second tier (Sears, Radio Shack, Costco, Sam's Club, Toys R Us) even though with Sam's and Costco you will have to buy a bundle but it won't be that much more in price. Myself won't be getting one until a price drop if I am to spend cash because I gave up on the trade-in route becaue I just have to big a backlog of PS2 & Xbox games to play.

Radio Shack, excellent! Nobody's going to think to go there, at least not before they've tried Best buy, Target, etc. I'll check my local RS out this weekend and ask what they're going to be doing.

Good call! Can't find store hours on their website... they usually open at 10am or so?

As far as I know, the only thing in the system right now is the bundle, which I'm going to look at again on thursday. They may have games, but the actual system itself was of my concern.
