Ok,

Here is a trade list for this thread!

http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=84947

I was passing by the game section while overhearing the employee talk about all 2 of their Xbox 360 systems they got in...

I noticed a few of the games were oddly priced..

Urbz, wario and Pokemon DS we $24.94 or some such thing.

There were many games this way so I am not sure if its a YMMV or what? No SALE signs were there and the tags were a plain white. It seemed to me that they were the current prices.

Here's a compiled list of everybody's finds so far in the thread. The price following the game title are the different reported prices.

All prices and availability is YMMV, and a lot of it seems to depend on the cashier. A lot of these games aren't in the system, and in many cases they won't sell them to you. Two options here:

A)If a game isn't in the computer when scanned, the cashier can try typing in the Stock number that is on the sticker for the game on the shelf.

B)Some people have had success bringing up another known priced game and getting both for that price.

* Also to note prices are rounded UP!!

Yeah, many games at Sears are on sale now. Last time I was there they were not marked at the sale prices, but rang up on sale. For GBA I picked up LoZ: Minish Cap for $19.99 and the classic series LoZ for $5 last month. Basically just get the cashier to scan the games you are interested in. Check the next couple of pages here and you'll see some Sears topics.

Be lucky if your local sears even carries games anymore. The one here hasn't for the past 4 years or so.

Yeah, I noticed that the Sears flyer this week had some cheap games in there. One of them I was interested in was WWE SvR 2006 for PSP. They had it for $39.99. However, I think that comes out in about 2 weeks, so I'm wondering if the ad is good for the whole month. On the page before, there's a listing with a bunch of DVD titles that come out later this month, but no prices. Maybe it is a monthly ad. I threw out the paper, so I can't check.

Or maybe SvR's retail price is $40? I could've sworn it was $50.

I got a Strawberries ad (FYE), and they had SvR 2006 for the PSP for $35. The stupid thing is, the ad's deals end tomorrow, and the game won't be out for another week or so.

That kinda sucks. I've been wanting to play a new wrestling game.

wow, im looking to buy LoZ Minish Cap. can anyone confirm that this game is on sale, if so im so driving 30 miles to get it :]

i want this game for when i camp out for a 360 at best buy this Dec.17.

I picked it up at Sears this weekend for 9.97. But it's YMMV based on your store's stock. Mine didn't have half the games mentioned here, but I'm going to go back and look a little more closely at the DS games, maybe pricecheck a few.

Sears is a great place. I'm saying that only if you go every few months. Go about every 2 months and then head over to the Video game department and they will have a whole bunch of games on clearance that don't make sense. Lets say Animal Crossing for the DS in two months when I go their. They will have it for like $12.46

I might go check out sears today. Thanks OP

I'll swing by, last time I was at Eastridge they had a sealed black-label Zelda TWW that made me salivate a bit.. more than one actually.

I posted in the other clearance thread about Sears but will post here again.

My finds:

Legend of Zelda Classic: $2.97
Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga: $9.97
Metroid Zero Mission: $9.97
Minish Cap: $9.97
Mario Advance Golf: $12.97
Super Mario World: $12.97
Chain of Memories: $12.97

What's a "black-label Zelda TWW"? I assume it's Zelda The Wind Waker, but what's the black-label mean?
Thanks!

Hmmm... anybody had any luck with non-portable systems? I'm curious as to if any PS2, Xbox, or GC games are marked down as well. Thanks for the info OP!

I'm assuming it means it's not labeled as a Player's Choice game, but is an original issue. Collector's nitpicky stuff.

Saw some titles in a bargain bin for $9.99 at Sears, they were all hand-labeled so YMMV :

Xbox Tiger Woods 05
Xbox Madden 05
Gamecube Goldeneye Rogue Agent
PS2 Urbz

and various other unmemorable stuff.

^ Wow, I'll have to check my Sears to see if they have any deals going on. It'd be nice if I could find Chain of Memories for 13 dollars or Superstar Saga for 10.

Last time I looked, a nearby Circuit City had 5-6 "black label" Zeldas.

My sears has had funny prices too. I got Advance wars 2 for like 7.98. I also got a playstation one first party memory card for 2.98

Picked up Wario Ware Touched for $12.97 (the tag said $24.97) at the Chapel Hill (OH) Sears. They had copies left of M&L: Superstar Saga, KH: CoM and LoZ: MC. I'm sure they had more clearance titles, but I was only looking for Wario Ware when I was there.

Thanks for the post. I'll check it out, but I'm not expecting my Sears to have much - if anything.
No Warior Ware which I was looking for but...

:hot: :hot: :hot: Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones was $9.97! :hot::hot::hot:
Which one did you go to? Prices Corner?

Wow... good find! God Bless you.

I went to my Sears today. Zip. Nada. Zilch. Oh well... at least some people are getting something out of this and that makes me happy... somewhat.
Which one did you go to? Prices Corner?
The one on 202.

There was one left when I left this afternoon. I grabbed one and a Mother grabbed one when I mentioned the price to her. It turns out it was one of the games on her kids Christmas lists. There were three so there should be one left. it's pink tagged for $20 and rings up for $10.

I too went looking for Wario Ware, ended up finding Fire Emblem. They wouldn't sell it to me though. Apparently it wasn't in their system and they didn't know what the price was supposed to be. Their classic NES GBA games were marked $14.99, but rang up $9.99. Other than that, there was nothing worth mentoning.

I looked at my Sears today... but all the 'associates' were busy so I couldn't get any price checks. Oh well, hopefully they were making some money elsewhere. But my Sears didn't have much of note, but it did have a copy of FFI&II: Dawn of Souls. Does anyone know if thats on the cheap?
It wasn't in the ssytem either but the guy manually looked up the item number and it rung up for $9.97.
There wasn't a tag or anything on it. He tried typing in the UPC number and still came up with nothing. Oh well, it wasn't that big a want for me anyway.
but it did have a copy of FFI&II: Dawn of Souls. Does anyone know if thats on the cheap?
Could be. It seems to be clearancing at several places lately.

They wouldnt sell me Fire Emblem either. It wouldve been a wasted trip, but I picked up a Minish Cap for 9.97 and on the way back home another Sears let me get SMB Advance 4: SMB3, for 9.97, even though it wasnt in the system, I just had to talk him into it.

I don't understand why Sears takes some games out of the system, especially a newer game like Fire Emblem. I had the same thing happen to me earlier in the year with Panzer Dragoon Orta. It was tagged I think for $19.99, it wasn't in the system. I told the cashier I thought it was supposed to be $9.97 or $4.97 (which was the truth as I remember other CAG's mentioning that it was on clearance for one of those prices). He called management over who said to give it to me for $5 plus tax which was cool.

it's not like it wasn't black label for two years or more. i mean, like MK DD and SFA, it was freaking non-PC for ever.

and damnit i've got to pick some of these up.

LoZ: LTTP
Warioware
Fire Emblem
SMW
KH: CoM
another Minish, i payed $20 for mine. maybe i can get the price changed.

Touched is clearance, Twisted rang up regular for me. And Fire Emblem doesnt register in their system anymore, so you're gonna have to get lucky on getting that.

There's definately a way to brign it up in their system. The sales rep read something on the bar code label behind the glass display, typed it in the register, and got the $9.97 price. Then he went back and pulled a copy and tried to scan it, but it didn't take. So then he had to retype the number he grabbed from the label to ring it up. Maybe a product number or something.

Someone who actually works at sears would know better how it works. But he was able to bring it up in the system. Just not scan it in.
Does anyone remember what the last markdown on the Metroid Gamecube bundles was?
yeah i saw that the other day in the back of the case, didnt want to make em pull it out if it was still $100

hope a one of these deliveries today takes me by a sears. fire emblem was such a kickass game, i have GOT to play the sequel.

I think I'll be stopping by today or tomorrow. I'm planning on calling over to GR to see if they have any non-preordered Animal Crossing, and Sears is on the way. I got Minish Cap last week, but didn't realize a lot more stuff was potentially clearanced.
