OK, so I go to work today and get asked "Did you see the video game sale?" "Oh no...let me go see"

Well, in short, my Sears was getting ready for X-mas with sales and deals out the rear lately, and video games were on the list. Some games that I grabbed and prices listed:

Updated List: 8/01/04

Xbox:
Batman Dark Tomorrow: $5
Tiger Woods 2004: $10
Tiger Woods 2003: $15
WWE Raw 2: $10
The Sims: $15
The Sims: Busting Out: $15
Midnight Club 2: $10 or $15
Need For Speed: Underground: $15
SSX3 : $10 or 15
Medal of Honor: Rising Sun: 10 or 15.
Jet X20: $5

PS2:
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time: $10
Namco Museum: $5
Wild Arms 3: $10
Defender: $5
Amplitude: $5
Tiger Woods 2003 : $15
Need For Speed: Underground: $15
Medal of Honor: Rising Sun: 10 or 15.
Jet X2O: $5

This was at North Wales, PA, store #1834.
If you see a game you want, go to your local sears, see if they have it, and tell them that another Sears store has it. They can call and confirm. The Phone Number is 215-362-4257

I'll get a full list tomorrow, and post when they're gone

If you stop in my store, come by and tell me. I work in lawn and Garden, short guy, brown hair. DO NOT mention me when calling for a pricematch. I don't want to get in any trouble

thanks for the info.,i am going to have to go up there and pick some stuff up (if my sears is having this same thing going on).

OK, this was the store in North Wales, PA. If you stop in before Wednesday, stop by L&G and tell Rob you're a cheapass, and maybe give me a quick thanks. LOL

Wow, I strongly suggest picking up Panzer Dragoon Orta if you can, I bought it full price and it rocked. I want to pick up NFS:U.

I'd love to pay you for a copy of Tiger Woods 2004 and Grabbed by the Ghoulies.

I was able to stop by a Sears a couple of hours ago. They had Panzer Dragoon Orta marked at $29.99 behind the glass case. I had the sales associate take it out and scan it. It rang up at $14.97, so those prices are YMMV :(

As soon as I read the post, I ran to the nearest Sears (in Tacoma, WA). Only title they had was Wild Arms 3 (PS2) and it scanned at $19.97! I hate these YMMV deals

Darn, why did I have to be at the shore this weekend. Did they have a lot of copies of PDO?, when I get back home I'm going to have to go to that store (I might check Willow Grove too but I doubt they will have the prices on those games). Thanks for the info.

Amplitude for $5 is also real hot. I have a feeling i'm going to go to sears and there won't be any kind of game sale going on though :?

Wow, the Sears by me still had Pop going for 52.99, and had Need For Speed at 45.00. You never find deals in the city it seems.

Meh, I'm not even trying.

I've learned my lesson with at least 5 Sears runs before, never pans out, this one won't either.

:(

they had PoP for the low low price of 39.97. Though, they did have PDO for only $12.90. Other than that, it was a bunch of games listed at $xx.97 and 20% off that.

Panzer Dragoon Orta and Grabbed by the Ghoulies are both gone, added a few new titles to the list. Full list, with daily updates, coming tomorrow.

Anyone know why the prices at Sears vary so much? Why aren't they (for the most part) universal like BB and CC? Just curious :?

The Sears here had all the games on the list, which I made the poor clerk take out of the glass and scan, and they all came up full price. Grabbed by the Ghoulies was $9.99 though. Everything else like Tiger woods (which had a sale sign that read $27.99 in front of it) rang at $49.99. Oh well.

anyone try asking them to call my store and pricematch yet?

And the reason is this: Prices are universal, but stores can mark them down, in store, to get rid of OLD stuff to make room for new stuff. This was just something so they can clean out for x-mas.

umm since you didn't have your location filled out, can you tell me which city Sears did you went to?

Anyone know if Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2 sells for 15 in the store like it does online? I was in there and saw a bunch of copies marked full price. There wasn't a Sales person around at all and I was in a hurry so I didn't have it checked.

Where is BG:DA2 online for $15?

MeGaWC27:

I have on the main post the store location, the store number, and the phone number for the electronic department. Can't get much more specific then that my friend.

And Cracka, we already have snowblowers out AND in the ads

Is it Sears store policy to match, no matter where the location? I don't wanna get there and fall victim to the ole "they gotta be within 25 miles" bit.

No, they should pricematch, espcially there own store. Also, try to get a younger person, as they always seem easier to deal with.

And a girl. Not to be sexist or anything, but the girls seem to be nicer. This guy acted rude and busy, but this girl came over and was all bubbly and happy and stuff and gladly pricechecked for me.

Thanks for the heads up. Hope I get the stuff tomorrow. It seems so perfect, too, they had almost every item that you listed in the OP, and a little bit more. They had tons of NFS:U.

$15 is too much for dark allaince 2 imo, rented it for 99 cents a while back, when it is under $10 i might consider picking it up and beating it.

I remember when someone got a psone+lcd bundle for $30 at the sears in new york city, and we all tried to price match that, but none of the stores would pricematch it bc it was out of state, and even the stores in new york state would not do the price match, so I am afraid were are out of luck on this one.(unless you live in pennsylvania.)

umm Pulsar, I was asking BLarR which store he went to just in case he went to the one I was gonna go, but thanks for trying to be helpful.
I guess it doesn't matter anymore, I'm gonna try to price match the games at my sears with your sears to see will i get the cheap games :D . Thx again for telling us this deal Pulsar

edit:
oh yeah I forgot to ask, what times does Sears open and close? is it different for every sears? I can't find their business time anywhere on the site or on the ads. grr

At that price, you could have pricematch to last week's CC ad, which had it for $14.99. With the additional 10%, would have came out to $11.19, which I would grab in a heartbeat 8)
