Season 1 Box sets at Overstock 14.99 Few new ones
Warning: 24 will keep you up until 6am watching.
Especially if you start watching at about 8am the previous day.

I'm getting 24 for Christmas (from the B&N deal) - I can't wait to see it based on the raves everyone gives. I'm afraid I'll have to buy seasons 2 and 3 too if I like it and they are way more expensive...

wow slidecage is slowly turning things in the right direction. congrats slide. on a side note, this is the 2nd time for Shield and Dark Angel, but that was on buy.com about a month back. haven't watched the shield yet, but will get around to it eventually. might have to pick up dark angel though.

mash is more expensive.

damnit, i need to hold out for a S2 sale, that'd kick some major ass too.

i am so tempted to get in living color.

AND THE 2 I NEVER SEEN LISTED

THE SHIELD AND DARK ANGEL
Both were in the Buy.com deal. Great find for those who missed the other deals.

Theres a few other Season 1 DVDs on sale. I remember reading it on DVDtalk. Off the top of my head I remember Punk'd S1 was $11. Theres other stuff too so try to search or lurk on over to dvdtalk.

These are constantly going in and out of stock so keep checking. Sometimes they'll add to your cart at different prices and such as well. Odd.

Any other places have The Shield or In Living Color for 15$? Since Overstock is OOS

interested in The Simpsons, Futurama, King of the Hill, and Buffy for my sister.

so 24 and The Shield are good? i don't follow TV much anymore. the last TV drama i really enjoyed was Star Trek: TNG. on a side note, any deals on TNG seasons? i see the sets at CC for like $130. i was astonished. i'm not paying half that, as much as i love TNG.

I would purchase The Shield, but the video is fullscreen (4:3), when it was shot in widescreen. The widescreen edition is available in other regions, but for some reason, Fox decided to go with the original broadcast aspect ratio in North America.

I know what you mean. I'd pay $50 probably for a season of TNG but the $100+ MSRP is just insane. Thee's no way I could justify owning all 7 seasons for over $700...
...might have to pick up dark angel though.
WARNING: If you haven't already seen it, Season 1 ends in a bitch of a cliff-hanger. I watched Season 2 and it definitely has it's strong points, however IMO it is not as good as Season 1. Fortunately, even though it wasn't picked up for a third season, Season 2 ends with a fair sense of resolution, while leaving some of the major plot threads open (and if you want to know what the writers had planned, listen to the commentary on the last episode of Season 2). BTW I picked up the Dark Angel Eyes Only Dossier and it was very worth reading (about $3-$4 on Amazon marketplace). Really cool. I'm investigating purchasing the novels that extend the plot beyond the end of Season 2.

Yea just finished watching Dark Angel S1 the other day, I definately am going to pick up S2 now. Same thing that happened to me on 24.

I'd just wait till another place has this offer to get In Living Color. Thats been in every retailers $14.99 sale. Shield on the otherhand has only been on Buy.com, so for that your best bet it to keep trying Overstock if you really want it.

But if it was broadcasted in fullscreen on American televisions I don't have a problem with that.

Regardless, I saw Season 1 of The Shield and it has some moments, but not really enough momentum to keep me watching. I don't think it's that great. I find most of the characters dispicable and unappealing. I went to watch 24 and that is a superior show in every way. Better writing, characters and production. Just my two cents.

May look into King of the Hill

I completely hated the show, and then Fox stuck it in the 4:00 pm time slot and got me addicted.

I only wish I knew which of these my family picked me up for xmas already. Time to go snooping around the house...

I am still waiting for Alias to come down to this price.
You know Alias isn't FOX right?
I wasn't really thinking about it, but yeah i know Alias isnt Fox. So i guess the better post by me is that i am waiting for ALL season 1 dvds to be $14.99 :)
