Second Sight (PS2/Xbox/Cube) $19.99 w/dvd and 1-day ship at EBgames

Damn - and I thought pre-ordering it for 30 bucks was a good deal. Looks like I should've just waited a few weeks... :(

Oh well - cool game so far, at least.
11 hours sounds like a good length to me. If it weren't for the upcoming TRU sale I'd be all over this.
Well, this is as big a save as the TRU sale will get you, unless it is a universal price drop.

I think he just meant that he is saving his money to buy other games in the TRU sale, not that he is buying Second Sight in the TRU sale.

Edit: This is a great price, I almost wish I hadn't done the pre-order deal, but at least GS didn't charge tax, so it is more like an $8 difference rather than $10.

Hi:

I jumped in when the price was $29.99. I highly recommend this game. Great story and great gameplay mechanics. There is some stealth but if you choose to, you can shoot your way out too. It's very free with what gameplay type you want to use.

For $20 it's a great bargin.

Yeah, if this dropped to $20 already I'd say it will be $10 at some point in the future (if not soon then definately eventually).

It may, but it might not include the bonus DVD at that point (that might matter to some people). If I didn't already have it, I'd buy it now for $20+tax for sure.

Very nice. I had ordered it through the CAG deal, then cancelled when I got buyer's remorse. Now I get a better deal and still with the bonus DVD, no less. Thanks for the post!

I beat Second Sight when I rented it on my BB Gaming Pass. Great game, I really enjoyed it from start to finish. It took me just about 8:45 to beat, but considering I died several times, I would give it about a 10 hour estimate for my playthrough. I tab it as a sleeper hit of 2004.

If you got some free time coming up for about a week, just may want to drop 5 bucks and beat it over a rental. But if you only got a few hours a week to game, I would jump all over this 20 dollar price.

Geez, how long have you guys been CAG'ers?

It's a temp. price sale, not a price drop.. sorta like what BB did with Red Dead.

Yea, this is just and temp sale like many of the daily price drops from eb. Esp. since the PS2 version is higher it really is just a temp drop. I'm annoyed that i pre-ordered, still was worth the 30 i paid.
It's not deal to half these guys unless its a dollar and free overnight shipping.

The CC sale has jaded many.

Not as ridiculous as the people who post their complaints about the repost and bump the 'offending' threads.
Not every spends the time some of you complainers on these boards.. Get over it, at least these people are trying. I have been helped before by reposts, as well I'm sure others have also.

If you don't like reposts, don't bump them then.

Thanks to the OP! I picked up the GC version because it's on par with the XBox version and much harder to find at most retailers.
Xbox or GameCube? Which shall I get? Any suggestions?
From the review I read, they're pretty much the same (both are much better than the PS2 version). So it boils down to what controller you like best or, in my case, I just like to give the Cube third party support.

Just picked this up at EB b&m yesterday. Looks like it dropped $10 more.

Online the title is avaiable for all three systems with free one day shipping.

If anyone in interested I'l post impressions once I open the game up.

There's going to be a LOT of games that nosedive in price this season. There's *so many* games coming out, that the only way to stand out among the noise is to be Halo 2 or GTA, market to a "known" audience (Katamari), or be cheap. A lot of games are going to think they can stand out, but then drop like a rock after initial sales figures come out.

And you may want to find out how many blocks it takes up on a memory card.

Hi:

I actually just finished this game 5 minutes ago. I was very impressed with the voice acting and the story itself. There are two stories being told at the same time which is a great plot device. It revolves around a scientist being asked to go to Russia to help find a Doctor who has been doing some kind of experiments and they need the scientist. to help figure out what's going on. The gameplay is third person action/stealth. I hate stealth games so I choose to play the game wih a more run and gun style. The game does not force you to play any one particular style. If you like stealth you can sneak around. If you like gunning you can do that too. I completed the game in 5:36 which is VERY short. I know some people said the game will take 8 hours but I did it in 5 and a half.

The GameCube version got a higher rating at gamerankings.com than both the PS2 and XBox version, so you know which one I would recommend. And as someone else pointed out, the GC could use the support.
The game uses 5 blocks on a GC memory card.

Outpost.com now has the PS2 and XBox versions listed at $19.99 as well (no sign of the GC version at Outpost). This may be a universal drop.

I'll be damn. I just bought this game last week, and not 7 days go by and it's already $10 cheaper...

Crap.

It's a great game, but I really wish I would have waited now. Ah well. I'll know better next time. :\
