Second, we are permanently slashing the price of the original Section 8 on PlayStation Network to just $14.99. The new price takes effect October 12th in North America, giving you lots of time to catch up on the story and practice your multiplayer skills before Prejudice drops onto the PlayStation 3. Not only is this the best price for a new copy of Section 8 on any platform, but the PlayStation Network version also includes three extra multiplayer maps at no additional cost.

In addition to the lower price, there’s also a free trial of Section 8 and its 32-person multiplayer available through PlayStation Network, so download your free copy and stay tuned for more information on Prejudice. Until then, catch you in the comments!
So keep an eye out for the PSN update tomorrow night to get Section 8 at its new price.

For those who have played the game, what's your opinion of it? Is it worth $14.99? I think it was originally priced at $29.99, plus is a huge download (1.8 GB or something like that). I played the demo, and wasn't that impressed.

Thanks.

It's around. 2.5 GB. I played it once and never touched it again. I think that's party because I just joined a new gameshare group and we've purchased about a dozen PSN games in the last two months and partly because it's a mediocre game.

The single player feels like a multi player game with bots. It feels like you run (very cool boosting sound and shift to third person) just to blow some stuff up and shoot a couple guys. Rinse and repeat.

I got it for $5 from Amazon. I played it for a while and but never touched it again. I don't think it is worth $15...

So....Sony's idea of a sale is dropping the price of a game, raising it again, dropping it again, raising it again, then dropping it AGAIN, but not as low as the lowest price?

It's not a Sony game.

Thanks for all the insights. I hate nothing more than something being advertised as a "sale" yet it was offered at a much cheaper price (yes $5 is enormous to us CAGs) in the past. This is a "rare" example of CAG saving me money versus me spending more! ;)
