Just curious about good Sega CD games that are still fun. I've heard Silpheed and Lords of Thunder are good shooters, what other must haves are there? I always gawked at the FMV anime game screenshots when I was younger-- I think they were called Time Gal and....well, something about ninjas and I've always wanted to try them....are they worth buying? thanks for any help.

Shining Force CD (one of my favorite games of all time)
Sonic CD (best Sonic game ever)
Snatcher (one of the best games of all time)
Popful Mail (great game)
Vay
Keio Flying Squadron
Lunar 1/2 (better than the PS versions)
Ecco the Dolphin 1/2 (great soundtracks)
Robo Aleste (sequel to MUSHA)
Silpheed
Dark Wizard
Earthworm Jim
Heimdall
Jurassic Park (aged poorly, but I still like it)
Secret of Monkey Island
NHL 94 (still the best hockey game ever)
Wing Commander
Eternal Champions (underrated fighting game, SegaCD version was much better)
Mortal Kombat (just for the soundtrack)
Star Wars Chess
Rebel Assault (aged very poorly, but I still like it)

Dafoomie pretty much listed 'em all; but I also like the Dynamix games, Rise of the Dragon and Willie Beamish. RotD is a poor man's Snatcher, and Willie Beamish is a funny adventure game.

Silpheed is still a fun shooter.
Shining Force CD obviously.
Dark Wizard is another excellent strategy game.
Final Fight CD is still the best home version of the game outside of the Capcom Classics Collection version that was just released.

As for the rest, depending on your tastes you might enjoy stuff like Starblade, Star Wars Chess, or the boring-battle-system RPGs.

That list is pretty extensive. I can't even think of any others you pretty much covered it :)

another vote for Eternal Champions. loved that game, very very underrated. loved all the different characters, and the "spot" specific stage deaths :)

I haven't played it in ages, but I do remember liking Wonderdog when I had the sega CD. :)

Sonic CD rocked my world... I was just saying the other day how disappointing it was they didn't include it in the sonic mega collection.
