As far as I know the emulator may be legal but I doubt the ROMs you use are. IIRC the only "legal" way is to back up your own roms to play but even then it is slightly dodgy.

No it isn't.

I own a Megadrive, I own several games for it. I can legally emulate those games on my PC. It doesn't matter where I get the ROMS from as long as I own the original game.



My NES emulator on the other hand... :cool:

yes, you're right. as long as you own the console AND the game you want to emulate it's perfectly legit to load up a "dump" (made by you or by some one else around the world) and play it.
