*I searched for this and nothing came up*

I found this is their latest little movie book. Here is a picture of the sale.

Around to the picture, the price is $19.99 and lasts until November 30th, regular price is $24.99.

I would say this is odd of them, since most of the time their prices on movies are MSRP or higher.

I went to Hollywood Video today, and talked to a few of my friends that work there. Doesn't seem to be a mistake. They (at least the one I go to) are starting to push "TV on DVD." Now, they carry TV series DVDs, and they have their own large section in the store. Carried stuff such as In Living Color, Family Guy, Simpsons, 24, That 70s Show, Futurama, Pee Wee's Playhouse, and Seinfeld (on Tuesday). They are also going to be running some nice holiday deals on DVDs. Also, they are running a B1G1 free on all pre-played games (YMMV) instead of only the titles $9.99 and under.

I have a copy of their booklet in case anyone needs a scan or some questions answered.

Where can one pick this ad up? Is it some in-store circular, in newspapers, or is it like a coupon book where you have to buy something to get it?

You can pick this ad up at your local Hollywood Video. They have them around the store in those small plastic magazine racks that say "Free. Take One." Usually located around the counter, and on the new release walls. On the cover, there is a picture of Fiona from Shrek 2. If you flip the booklet around, it lists the new video game releases and such.

thanks, looks like I may be heading to Hollywood video to pick this up in the very near future
Is that Season 1 and 2 for just $19.99?
Yeah. They're together, but each season is shorter than a normal season.
Is season 3 $19.99 as well?
Yes. It says so right in the topic title and in the picture of the ad in the first post.

Does anyone think I would have a problem price matching this at Circuit City. Since they give the 110% it would be an extra two dollars off each one since they are selling them for 39.99 this week.

do i need to be a member to buy this? or can i just go there and buy it like any other store..i was gonna ger a deal at coconuts.com..it was season 1$2 for 32.99 and eason 3 for 32.99 there were 10 rebates for each so it came out to about 56-20..also get an additonal 10% off and free shipping..but if i can get this hollywood deal..it would be much better

I'd call first to see if they would PM a Hollywood Video.

You don't have to be a member to buy DVDs. You only have to be a member to rent movies/games.

if anyone could get me both or either of them I would pay them back plus shipping and a little more of course, it would be a great gift for my grandma (I am sure she would like this)

Season 1 is EXTREMELY short. 5 episodes including the pilot.

Yknow, I just realized...
both sets are pictured next to eachother, right? It doesnt say...19.99 EACH...it just says 19.99...I think there is a good chance walmart will fall for this...

Well I showed the ad to circuit city today to see if they would price match and the lady said yes. She told me to bring the ad in tomorrow and I would get it price matched.

Best bet would be to price match at a store where they don't bother calling the store with the ad.

Went into Hollywood Video tonight and there was a sign that said "We're sorry for the inconvenience, but the Seinfeld DVD sets will not be $19.99"

I just got back from Hollywood Video. There were no Seinfeld discs anywhere to be bought. When I asked the guy working there if he had any, they said they had none for sale. I asked him about the price in the book, and he said "Oh yeah, that was a misprint. When we get the discs in they will be 39.99."

It sounds like your best bet now is to price match them somewhere.

just got back from circuit city, they reluctantly price matched it for me, but he didnt bother to call hollywood video because the offer was good until november 30th, so i guess i got lucky. but it did work, and i got both sets for a total of 38 bucks, 2 bucks less than what a single set would have cost at circuit city normally. i think if you have any chance at all of getting this deal they can't call hollywood video to confirm it.

GOOD LUCK!!

The Hollywood Video I went to actually had the price crossed out with dark black marker. The lady at the counter told me that it was a misprint and that all stores are actually supposed to be getting new booklets today. What pissed me off the most was that not only was the $20 sale price wrong, but it says the regular price is $24.99 in the ad, and they're not honoring that either.

I went to my local Best Buy today and asked them to price match the advertised Hollywood Video price of $19.99. The girl called Hollywood Video, and asked about the sale and the sales clerk at Hollywood Video was just like, "I don't know what you're talking about". Then I got on the phone and said "Grab one of your "Movie Companions", the one with Shrek on the cover, and turn to just after half way"... Silence. He says, "Looks like we have them on sale for $19.99" and I said, "Now tell her that". He did, and I scored both sets for $19.99 each. Plus Best Buy has Seinfeld bonus discs that they are giving away when you buy the Seinfeld sets.
Cha-Ching!

did you just print out the scan?

Just got the PM at BB. Seasons 1+2, Season3, bonus DVD for $40.

Couldn't happen to a nicer store.

I went to Hollywood Video first and picked up a circular. If you read the promo, it doesn't mention anything about Seinfeld. It just states that regluarly priced $25 DVD's are $20. They messed up by putting the Seinfeld Picture there but it clearly states in store that the Seinfeld sets are $40.

They must have thought the sets would originally sell for $25 when they made up the promos, probably months ago.

So have the new prints of the ad come out yet? I don't have a Hollywood Video for at least 50 miles and it's raining way too hard to venture out for an ad, especially if I'm not guaranteed to find it.

Let's hope they don't fix the error for a few more days at least .. !
Any word on the Golden Girls DVD set being on sale?
BB.com is doing a buy 2 get ten off and the GG set is included. I think it's $35. So buy it and say, Home Improvement, combined for $55.

As for the pamphlet, I picked one up today but I guess YMMV.

Just went to Wal-Mart and price matched. They wouldn't let me get both sets for $19.99 total :) But, I'm not complaining.

They also tore out the page it was advertised on and gave me the book back.

Total was $42 and some odd cents. Saved about $23.

I also scored both sets for $17.99 each by price matching at circuit city. What a great CAG one year anniversary present to me! Thanks OP!
