*I searched for this and nothing came up*

I found this is their latest little movie book. Here is a picture of the sale.

Around to the picture, the price is $19.99 and lasts until November 30th, regular price is $24.99.

I would say this is odd of them, since most of the time their prices on movies are MSRP or higher.

I just picked up the booklet, then unsuccessfully tried to get it from the nearby wal-mart... but not to worry... still have a few more of them, BB, and CC to check in on when I head home from work...

Just got both of them at BB. It came with the BB exclusive bonus disc and the entertainment weekly Seinfeld issue and it totaled to $43.

Yeah, I chose the bonus dvd and reward zone points over the extra $2 at CC. It was a bonus dvd if you purchase either season 1&2, season 3, or the box set. Since I purchased both season 1&2 and season 3, I took 2 of the bonus dvds. :D

If it totaled $43, you must have pricematched at the time of purchase. I just bought them as normal, did some more shopping in the area, then came back and got it pricematched, so I got it for $41.49, including 9.25% tax.

I did the same thing with Nirvana: With the Lights Out. I had originally decided not to get the seinfeld dvds, and I hadn't planned on getting the Nirvana set (though I do enjoy their music), but I can't pass up a good deal.

Did this yesterday, picked up the booklet and PM'ed to Hollywood Video at Circuit City. $17.99 each after 110% of the difference PM.

Hollywood Video near me was selling the DVDs at $40 for each season, didn't bother asking how much for the box set. Didn't see any of their circulars lying around, so I couldn't grab one of them to try and PM at another store. =/

i called to ask and they said it was 40 bucks, then i told them to look through to companion guide and they were shocked. When i came in, it was a different person and she had such a look on her face...anyway, got each set for 20 bucks

Wish I had seen this earlier or I would have given this a shot yesterday. But I'm definitely going to try my luck when I get back into town on Sunday. Hopefully the Hollywood Videos will still have the circulars out. Anyone with a booklet in the Fair Lakes, VA area that would be willing to pass an ad on to me after they use it to rape BB or CC shoot me a PM.

Dimes to dollars this is a complete mistake. And they're going to retract the deal, though ymmv if you put up a huge stink.

There is absolutley NO WAY they can profit from this. No stockpiling, no surplus in the world got them this deal. 24.99 regular price?

I say someone in that company's going to lose their job. The SRP alone on the Seinfeld sets is 80.00.

And there's going to be a lot of pissed-off customers. Namely you guys. Still, if you get it, post it! I say, stick it to em! Their fault, their problem.

One last theory on the price- maybe EACH of the discs is 19.99. Used. Because if you figure 4 discs per box (not so much with the Season 1/2 box), 4X$20.00=80.00 (or again, suggested retail price).

Good luck.

Wow, what a great deal! I picked up the pamphlet at a Hollywood video on the way home from school for Thanksgiving, but the store didn't have any copies for sale yet .. went to Best Buy across the street, and they called Hollywood Video, who had to check the computers .. so BB didn't honor it either.

But, CC! They did their 110% thing and I got 'em both for $17.99. What an awesome deal. I bet these won't be down to $17.99 retail for years. Thanks for the heads up, OP.

Good luck.[/quote]WTF are you talking about? Did you read a single post in this thread? Only a few were able to get it at HWV, but they PM at other stores so really HWV isn't losing much. And everyone has been very happy in here since they were able to get the DVDs.

And actually HWV could profit off this by gaining customers for the future.

They're supposed to be $39.99 each. New.

Yeah, actually I did read the posts- I used to work in movie retail, and apparently from the time I quit last month to today NBC decided to drop the price of the sets, because I'm telling you that the OFFICIAL SRP, which was listed in many many trade mags (not entertainment mags) was 80.00 for the sets. The deluxe set was 110.00.

They obviously decided that they could sell a crapload if they actually lowered the price to something feasible to consumers wallets, unlike CSI that originally listed at 50 a set to 100 a set since they realized they had a hot show on their hands that people wanted.

I was able to price match this at BB today during all the Black Friday craziness (and brought other stuff too of course). They didn't even call Hollywood Video to check the price (I went to four HWV yesterday, none of them sold it). Of course it helps that the clerk who helped me also went to my high school...

I got BB to PM Wed night for 20 bucks each. I might try again either today or tomorrow to see if I can get another set for a present.

Just did this today. Picked up a set at HWV for $20 each. They rang up at $40 each of course, but when I showed the girl the ad I had just picked up by the door she knocked them down to $20 without batting an eye.

I then went a half mile down the street and picked up 2 more sets for $18 each after the PM at CC. The guy didn't want to do it, noted it said $25 regular price so it might not the same thing, but eventually did agree it must be the same set of DVDs.

He actually called HWV to verify stock (first time I've had a store do that on a PM) and since they had a 2 year old phone book he called a store a half mile farther away which did not have them in stock. So I pulled out my cell phone and my receipt from the store I knew had 15 or so left of each and called them on speaker to verify.

I got a little miffed when he came back and said HWV was OOS as I had just been there and knew that was not the case, but I quickly mellowed when he showed me the entry he called from the phone book and I noted it was a different store. Can't blame the guy for trying to do right by his company. If I owned a store I'd love to have employees like that working for me.

Awesome deal, and 3 Xmas gifts out of the way, sweet!

I was able to get these today for $18 a piece at CC. Didn't have any problems with the managers and the employees there were surprisingly friendly.

Had a buddy that could not get HWV to honor their own ad. Then he went over to Circuit City where they called HWV and talked to a manager who informed them the ad is a price mistake so they wouldn't do the PM (damn!) So then he went to Best Buy and they finally did the PM. He had to work for this deal :)

Thanks so much for telling me about this deal guys, got Season 3 at one Circuit City without too much hassle and then went to another one on the other side of town and they pricematched after a little work.

The girl checked for it online and said it was 32.99 there but I kept pushing that the ad said through Nov. 30 and that I could get the receipt from the other Circuit City. She sighed and was like 20.99, oh wait, 18.89.

Definitely a great deal.

Dammit. Well, I'm one day late, which doesn't even matter, since there's no HV's near me. I shoulda picked up Seinfeld on BF when I saw it for $27 per box at Target, but I decided against it.

Yeah, like most of you, I first tried at BB with no luck, and then went to CC and got it with no trouble. I just got the 3rd Season tho, it has 4 more episodes and they're much better ones, too.
