I think those are going to be the normal prices (at least at wal-mart) going forward. I went into one near work to grab Hot Shots, and they were priced correctly, but no little "price rollback" sign of any kind, whereas a bunch of 360 games (like Prototype 2 for 39.99) were.
Went to my local Walmart today and those prices are also in store.
Was gonna report the same thing. Picked up wipeout.

1. Hot Shots is easily one of the best Vita games availabke, and it's not even close. The game play on that game is incredibly addictive. It shows off the power of that OLED screen as well as just about any Vita game. The detail on all the swing meters and indicators is very impressive. With the abiltiy to just suspend the Vita (while playing a round), it makes it the ultimate pick up and play game.

2. Wipeout is great, but some people just don't get Wipeout. If you're the type that just doesn't get the hub bub about Wipeout, I don't think this one is going to change your mind. The graphics and sounds are amazing, but they usually are with all the Wipeout games.

3. Where are the games I really want to be on sale? Rayman Origins and Virtua Tennis 4 . Those are the only two Vita games that I'd really, really love to try out. (of course Resistance, but don't want to spend the big bucks)

Rayman Origins is fantastic for the Vita. It is very solid/works perfectly and has some new content that the console version lacks.

Hot Shots Golf is pretty fun. Although it ramps up in difficulty very fast.

Golf as a sport is pretty boring. But playing golf in a video game is very satisfying.

this better last into tomorrow! wasn't able to get out tonight but I've been dying to get hot shots. need something to finally dust off the old vita!

Nice, in for Hot Shots. Have a gift card so excellent. PSN ID: DeadlyGalaxy, feel free to add me. Although I'm not logged in but every few days.

Snagged HSG, have bought every version of this game and been waiting for a deal on the Vita version, thanks OP!

Went to the Best Buy in Leominster MA and got them to PM Wal Mart's prices on both games without any trouble. It may be worth noting now that Wipeout is sold out online that it was available at two Wal Marts within 10 miles of my Best Buy. I havent gotten into a golf game since the original NES so hopefully this is pretty fun. I have Wipeout on my PS3 but I think Ill get more use out of it on the Vita.

Every Vita owner must own Hot Shots at that price! Second best game on Vita behind Uncharted!

And damn the Wipeout sellout... really wanted that one at that price.

Got Hot Shots at my BB that I ordered yesterday for store pickup online. Just got my Vita last month and I already own 7 games for it with another two at least in the next month or two (Resistance and Gravity Rush).

Thanks for the heads up!

I picked up HSG as well to add to my collection. I have eight games now to keep me busy with MGS HD on pre-order.

Hope more games come down to this $20 price tag.

If you guys buy any of these games and regret it, you could always turn around and trade it in to best buy. You'll be able to get your money back on it for the most part and in some cases a little more.

Doc Brown is that you???

Does anybody know if this is scheduled to end any time soon? I may not be able to get them till tomorrow.

Want to get HSG, but my local store doesn't have it in-stock. Ship to store will take until the end of the month. My BB is a pain to PM at. Hmmmm.

Picked up Wipeout and HSG at the Walmart in Sarasota, FL. Just what I needed in my vacation here, to snoop on CAG :/

Thanks!

Did u have them scan it at a register? Good chance shelf prices weren't up to date, we are talking about Wal*Mart after all...

Im gonna match hot shots at bestbuy today while i pick up ass creed revelations. Ill scoop up some Penny guides while im at it. Its great to be cheap ass gaming again after my vacation lol

rofl oh man that swing meter detail really pushed me over the fence to buy it. Also, suspending a game is not a unique feature - you can do it with any Vita or 3DS game (it's actually more satisfying to do it with 3ds)

Yeah im gonna say those aren't the "selling points" to highlight...lmao

If someone would suspend this guy, now THAT would be satisfying.

Was this post even nessesary ? Anyway cant wait to pick up my hot shots copy today

If you notice, Sukthefac is a huge annoyance here which I am sure is his goal no doubt and he never posts anything constructive or helpful in 90-100% of his posts here. I do hope he gets silenced/perma-banned pretty soon.

Not really. Moat of my posts are fine, and you hate them because they are opinions that arent yours. I said one thing that butthurt you and now you follow me everywhere.

Ans for the record, I was poking fun at the fact that HSG's selling point, according to him, is a the quality of the shot meter. Poking fun...do you know what that means? Stop trying to play superhero and speaking on behalf of everyone. If they want to you respond they will, or not.

I dont condone anyone coming on here and being a jerk to other people at all, but I did chuckle to myself when I read about the graphical detail on the swing meter being a highlight. Theres just so many other positive points to the game that its odd to have chosen that one, but different strokes for different folks (see that golf pun right there).

I did in fact buy Hot Shots after never playing a HS game or demo and I really like it so far so it definately can appeal to those that loathe golf as a sport or hobby

In some alternate reality you aren't a douche.. this isn't one of them.

What I meant in regards to the swing meter and the various indicators, is that I think it really shows off the quality of the OLED screen. Sure, swing meters, wind strengh indicators and such aren't exactly something to jump up for joy about, but it's the clarity and crispness of those meters, and all the other onscreen HUD type stuff that you see in the game.

The clarity and crispness of those meters really shows off the fine detail that the OLED screen can provide.

As for the suspend feature, yeah, I know it works with all games, but with Hot Shots, the ability to suspend, combined with playing a round of golf, just makes it a really good pick up and play experience. I guess I could pause Wipeout while I'm racing around a track, but I'm not sure it really makes sense in that type game. In a game like Golf, where the game is always waiting for you to take the next action, it makes more sense. In a fast action game, you could suspend the game and pick up where you left off, but when you start it back up, you won't really know what the heck you were just doing in that game, and it can be a bit hectic. With golf, it's perfect.

Walmart doesn't do free instore pickup here in Hawaii and they charge extra to ship here, so I ended up going to Best Buy to get it price matched which thankfully they did! Finally got me a game (Hot Shots Golf) for my AWD PS Vita I picked up like 2 months ago lol.

Been a fan of the Hot Shots Golf series since the first one on PS1, pretty much have all of the games up to this one for PS Vita (even PSP versions), really enjoyable series I like it better than Tiger Woods games.

I sucked violently at Hot Shots, and basically shelved it forever. If you dont get frustrated easily, and like golf, its a great buy. I just got sick of failing endlessly on even the easiest courses..

Picked up both Hot Shots and Wipeout, but I am holding out hope that these will get a drop on psn in the next few weeks. They are both between $20 and $25 in europe and these would be great to have digitally.

I'm sorry. I know digital downloads are the future and I can understand having the game saved to your system and not having to lug carry around cartridges but they have absolute zero resale value. I bought my Vita used on Craigslist and the guy had MVC3 digital download on the system but once I formatted it and put my PSN info there was no way to get that game back, even before the format. (There should be a "gift" function, that removed it from your library and sends it over to a friends PSN name or with even other services, of course limiting it to one time only per digital copy.) I'd always choose the physical game over a digital anyday.
they have absolute zero resale value.
Durr. That's why you buy them cheap.
Durr. That's why you buy them cheap.
Durr, Ain't NOTHING cheap about buying a download copy of a retail game. The downloaded versions are only 10% cheaper than RETAIL price. Then with the outrageous memory prices Sony is charging, that 10% savings is eaten up when you use up 2-3 GB of space on a memory card. Those cards are 3-5 dollars per GB. Then you have nothing to trade in or sell with a downloaded game. It's really stupid to download a game that you can buy in boxed version. Wipeout 2048 is $35.99 if you download it and $19.96 if you buy the actual boxed game at Wal-Mart. You do the math.

BTW, I couldn't resist picking up Wipeout 2048 tonight. I've never been a fan of the series, but for some reason am enjoying this one. I think the difficulty is a little softer than the ones I played years ago.

Exactly, I am hoping the digital versions for these games drop to $20 like they have in other regions. Can't imagine these would trade in for any more than a few bucks if that price drop on PSN occurred. It will be interesting to see how Sony handles sales on PSN, because for certain games I'd love the digital version, but for most and certainly at launch prices retail is the way to go.

Picked up Wipeout over the weekend at my local Walmart and I have Hot shots on order for Store Delivery.

While I had no intention of buying Wipeout I'm glad I did. It is a really fun game and I am enjoying the single player campaign. For the price you are getting a great deal of content, a nice looking game and a fun soundtrack that keeps me playing and retrying events.

The only thing that bothers me is the loading time.

Big Hot Shots fan can't wait to pick up my copy.

This is especially true if you bought the PS3 version (with DLC) or snagged it with Welcome Back since you get the first DLC pack for free. According to the PSN it will be added today, but I doubt it.
