Selling Xbox Question

CAGiversary!
I'm selling my 360 to a friend and I plan on using a data transfer cable to transfer all my stuff to the new xbox before giving it to him. I heard that after the transfer the old drive will be wiped out and I just want to make sure that will be enough so that nothing related to my account will be left on the drive, or would I have to format the drive?

Also, after transferring all my licenses, would there be any reason I wouldn't be able to play my rock band tracks or free version of Fable II? I don't know how I would redownload all my RB1 and bonus RB2 tracks since the keys can't be redownloaded from my download history and I can't redownload Fable II since I got it when it was free so I just want to make sure that transferring those dlc from with the cable will allow me to keep playing them on the new xbox. Much thanks in advance.
