Hey all. I couldn't find a better suited forum, so I figured I'd post a question here. I just got a 32" samsung HDTV (LN32A450). It's been a great tv so far, but I've had a problem when connecting it to my computer. It only has a vga input, so I've tried the vga output on both my laptop and my PC (one with xp, one with ubuntu) and have had the same problem. I switch the resolution to anything widescreen (1360x768 is the closest it will give me on either) and it shifts the picture a couple inches to the right. There's a black bar on the left, and some of the picture is cut off on the right.

There's an image correction setting, but it moves it maybe 1/10th of the way to the left before it maxes out. I sent an email to samsung, and got no response. I was curious if anyone else had a similar issue?

I tossed in a couple pictures showing the problem. The blue is my PC background, and the black is the problem area. Thank you!

If you have an Nvidia card under XP go into the Nvidia Control Panel then select "Change the signal or HD format." From there most likely you are 720p so select that. That should fix your problem.
