Bought a new ps3 but recently it started having problems ejecting the discs. The discs reads fine but since it has passed the 30 day amazon I'm not eligible to get a amazon replacement. I'm worried about sony sending me a refurbished PS3 instead. I never send any systems back to sony directly so I'm not sure how they handle repairs. Do they generally if you your old system back?
Also I purchased a 3 year from square trade beforehand. But wondering if Sony will void the warranty since they would have to open it up to repair the ejecting mechanism inside. Would I still be good on the square trade warranty if I do send this back to sony?
Has anyone sent any defective units back to sony before?
