I found this game interesting, challenging, and time-consuming enough with auto-ring turned on. So does anyone else auto-ring it, or do y'all enjoy the ring of judgement.

It's not very hard to do so I don't use auto-ring or anything. I could never get the timing down in Legend of Dragoon, and could have really used an auto function in that game. Funnily enough, LOD was still way too easy even though I was horrible at the timing and could only get in 2 hits at most.

Yeah guys - if you are like me and you hate the ring minigame, give it a try. I like to sit there, noodle the moves, and enjoy the graphics, putting the ring on auto really cut the frustration and amped my enjoyment of this gem. It really has surprising depth and a quirky sense of humor.

I'm also playing Warcraft 3 where I input the "die" cheat code so I can set every level to easy.

I'm hardcore about easy mode - I just wish all games gave you the option right from the start. I hate having to play like a chump to get the option.

Yeah, I wasn't willing to gimp my damage to be lazy either. I stink at timed stuff like this, and I could do it with relative ease

I enjoyed the Ring of Judgment. And after a while, it all became muscle memory. Getting perfects was pretty much as consistent as the Auto-Ring, and the amount of damage you'd do would outweigh any time that you might miss.

Most of the time I'd hit the red area, so auto-ring wouldn't work for me. Man, Shadow Hearts owned! They should really make a fourth game

It's amazing the amount of detail that went into the game. You can drill down to the most incindental items that you acquire, and they'll have a fullblown description and picture of the item to boot. There really was an effort to create a comprehensive game atmosphere, which is rare. Add to that the different playing styles and it's quite a game!

Yeah. It's too bad the developer got dissolved and splintered.

Extra Damage FTW!!!!

I liked how every item and enemy had a complete description. Even common potions and such. It really fleshed out the world and made it seem more real. The only other game I can think of that had the same level of attention was Final Fantasy 12. Of course that game probably had a budget 10x bigger then Shadow Hearts.

No auto ring for me. I think I tried it once to check it out, but it wasn't that hard anyways and I like the little challenge it gave you.
