Shadows of the Mind (my new horror short)

..what is it with all the "actors" and "directors" around here!? Make it stop!

Thoughts on the film:

Opening scene.. classical music that doesn't change with the scene? The kid sits up slowly, not like he was coming out of a nightmare.

The actors are convincing enough, usually you have these half-ass "do anything for a buck" actors with monotone voices, but these are actually decent.. dude's got a nice sink at his place..

..whoaaaa.. what an ending. I didn't expect that at all. Dude, that actually wasn't half bad, especially for your first time as a director.. good work..
 
Well...I watched it and I must say that your film shows alot of promise. I thought the editing especially was better than most low-budget films (it keeps the film in a rhythm sort of speak).

The only constructive critisicm I have involves the office seen where the two guys are talking. I think it would be better that those two guys would talk while they are doing something. Give the actors something to do while they are spouting off lines. Its will make it seem more natural. For example, Instead of office workers- make both guys butchers. Have them cut meat while they have this conversation. I'm sure you can come up with a better example than me.

Overall, I thought you did a pretty damn good job with the film. I am always happy to see another talent here at CAG.
 
:applause: That was very good considering it was your first horror movie. Can someone bring Omega2 in here to see what it's like to make a DECENT movie?
