Most of the stuff on the list I hadn't seen at my local Best Buys for at least 6 months-1 year. That's what I get for choosing to live in a county with almost a million people in it! Most likely, there was only one copy or no copies available for most of that stuff. We'll just have to wait until the next great deal!

i drove to 4 best buys...and the fourth one that i went to had multiple copies of a few games....the first 3 had zip....after driving around for 2 1/2 hours, ill be damned if i wasnt picking up a couple of each game that i saw...thats my excuse

My town has squat gaming wise. All we have is a K Mart. I have to drive a half an hour to the closest place with a variety. So I feel ya, but I was able to get in on this deal.

You have to remember that most of the games now on clearance at BB were old and/or didn't sell particularly well. As a result, most B&M stores didn't have many of the sale games in stock to begin with (much less mutilple copies of each), so when you add the fact that many CAGs rushed the stores shortly after the news broke to find the bargain gems, it didn't take long for the few titles worth owning to quickly disappear.
Yes, it would have been nice if Best Buy had enough copies of every game for everyone that wanted one, but you have to remember that we're talking about the scraps of BB's old inventory, much of which just wouldn't have sold at all unless it was on sale for $5 new. If you found anything you were really looking for at BB, you're ahead of the game at this point. If you missed out, you're among friends here. A lot of people came up empty on BB's latest wild goose chase. All I really need at this point is for my online orders to be cancelled (any day now I'm sure).

The guy that sold me my copy of Freedom Fighters for the Xbox (incidentally, the last copy of that game, for any system, that the store was carrying or would ever carry) told me about how he missed his chance to pick up a copy of Freedom Fighters for PS2 because some fat middle-aged woman snagged the last four remaining copies.
How selfish was she?

You'd be surprised at how many fat, middle aged women with 4 kids sell videogames on eBay! I've read some of their "Me" things and it almost seems like it's all stay at home mothers who sell videogames on eBay.

why do people whine when they miss deals?
maybe youre new or something, but you cannot get in on every deal ever, you just cant. there will be deals that you miss. who's to blame?i blame you for not beating that shell fish to bb and buying those 4 copies for yourself

Good post! I know the only deals I can ever get are the ones with a few days notice, like last years KB sale. I planned and got there early, and STILL had table scraps to pick from. I think the employees are co-horts in hording the A-list titles....but I did get my copy of Otogi!
