Sharks Tear Teen in Half!

Ok that's it. Between this and the movie Open Water, I'm never going into the ocean beyond about 10 feet into the water from the beach ever again.
 
When I was on vacation at Rehoboth Beach, there were sharks in the water. We later found out they were hammerheads. You could see the fins and everything. People thought they were dolphins at first, but NOPE.

They aren't very good at hide and go seek, better to try a game like tag.....
 
That is some pretty gruesome stuff. It's crazy how close sharks get to the shore. I won't be going to the beach anytime soon.

And as far as playing tag with them? How do you really tag them back? That always seems to the problem, I'm always "it".

All you do to tag them back is yell "look a defensless animal" and then the shark will turn and look and you quickly tag and run away. The question is though why would you want to not be it?
 
Sharks will RARELY if at all ever attack a person in the water unless: they are bleeding, they are surfing. So all you people can calm down and enjoy the warm ocean.
 
yea i'm pretty sure i wont be able to calm down and enjoy the ocean anymore.

Whether they're planning to attack me or not, i dont like being in the water with huge ass sharks..

the ocean in general freaks me out... theres way to much scary shit in there..
 
I remeber as a kid, someone caught a mid size hammer head shark off of the pier in town, it was disturbing because, we life in shallow waters, and in MA, where hammerheads rarely make the trip to...also this past summer I was on the cape when the great whites were in the cove, tried to see them, but didn't see much
 
What's with the amazement? You shouldn't frolic in shark-infested waters - they will try to eat you. Also, if a shark walks into my living room, I'll probably try to kill and eat him.
 
I haven't ever seen a real shark except in an aquarium, except for the one time when I was a kid a family friend stepped on a small sand shark and then pulled it out of the water.

It really wasn't that big though to be intimidating.
 
When I was on vacation in Cancun with my family, we took a ferry over to Isla Mujeres for a day. On one of the beaches there, a trainer had a full-grown nurse shark in a pen, and he let tourists come in and swim with it. I went in and got to hold the shark in my arms. It was bigger than I was, but it was pretty tame. He even had it trained to spit water out like a fountain when he held its head out of the water. It was definitely a cool experience.

I agree if you are out there swimming you have to take the chances, but when compared to victims in car accidents I bet your a whole lot likely to be killed driving to work then by a shark. When I was in St. Pete Florida I swam in the ocean almost everyday, the only thing i was really worried about was jellyfish.
