Angle lost to Kerr as an amateur? Wow, I didn't know that.

It's funny, 11 or 12 years ago I went to a wrestling camp in PA, and looking back on it now, almost all the instructors/counselors are now in either pro wrestling or MMA in some form. Angle, Kerr, Tom Erikson, Jeff Blatnik, Randy Couture...sheesh. I'd tell my "Kurt Angle wanted my pizza" story, but I think I already have in the past.


I'd rather see Kane get the vote for Umaga's match, since he's the only one of the three who has even a remote chance of not jobbing out (since he lost last time), and their stuff in the past has been remarkably good considering who is in there. The other two would wind up losing though, and Benoit shouldn't lose to that guy, and it would be pointless to have Sandman put him over.

Federline is an awesome heel, I don't care what anyone says. Obnoxious as hell, and the people want to see him get the shit kicked out of him. I don't know what else you could want.
 
Don't vote for Kane, for my own sake. I could give a fuck who wins - it'll be Umaga anyway (whether pin or DQ or whatever), so pick someone I want to see (Sandman or Benoit is fine with me).

I also officially request Dusty Rhodes as Flair's partner, and Shelton Benjamin as Jeff Hardy's opponent.

Well, since I'm apparently right on target with my wrestling-related predicitions (for once in my life):

Former TNA headliner Monty Brown was backstage at yesterday's Raw taping in Chicago. Sources have confirmed Brown and World Wrestling Entertainment have opened contract negotiations. As noted yesterday on PWInsider.com, Brown's talks to sign a new deal with TNA have stalled of late and he's no longer under contract there. Brown was not booked for the Bound for Glory PPV, which was in his home State of Michigan.

Not a bit surprising.
 
yea i voted for sandman..even though theyll job him ...could care less for anything else.. they should put masters to fight hardy.. guess his career really is going down

Wow, that spoiler's kinda weird since someone from TNAwrestling.com kept saying whenever someone asked if he was resigning, that he was going to.

Am I the only one that noticed that Melina kept fucking up last night in her match? Seems like Mickie carried that match. It's also a no-brainer that the final match will be Lita vs. Mickie. Especially since they were teasing it right after Unforgiven. I just hope it isn't a pick the match type of match, cause it looks like the Finals will happen at Cyber Sunday. It would be lame for it to be a title match and then the fans makes it a bra and panties match.

Anyway, Bischoff, Kane & Shelton get my vote.

Lita vs. Mickie James doesn't seem like the kind of "what skimpy clothing will they wear" match, but I'm deathly afraid you're right.

I also noticed Melina, but that's par for the course for WWE Women's wrestlers over the past few years. Trish, Jazz, and Victoria were the last great female wrestlers.

After the match between Test and Holly tonight I hope this fued ends fairly soon. Only people like Sabu, RVD, or CM Punk should be in matches that long.
 
That match was really good until the last 3-5 minutes, where it totally lost all the steam it had built up and, for lack of a better word, blew.

Yea that was my biggest problem with it as well. It just seemed like towards the end they were going through the motions. I didn't hate the match, but it was just too long and started to bore me near the end. Both of them have had good matches that have gone that length before, just with different partners which is why I was saying that it seems like those guys were more the facilitators of making the matches that were that long entertaining.
 
It was a good wrestling match (even though the live crowd took a giant dump on it). Its biggest problem was that you'd be hard pressed to find two guys I could care less about; a match like those guys had between wrestlers a crowd *wants* to see? That would help ratings increase (for all shows) over the long run. 20-minute Test matches? Who approved of that? Admittedly, the finish really deflated what momentum those two had earned tonight.

Test seemed done with the match early on: speculation time: Did Holly knock him silly early on, or was Test blown up?

Lotsa wrestling tonight. Nothing new on the storyline front; it's as if they forgot to write the show tonight. Despite the miserable selection of wrestlers tonight (Test, Holly, and Stryker), the actual matches have been somewhat fun to watch. I hope the main event doesn't end in a clusterfuck.

I just hope they don't make Big Show job again. That would really make your champ look like shit if he lost two weeks in a row.
 
Big Show's street clothes look similar to my friend's... then I remembered that my friend is, like, 350 lbs. and wears 4XX clothing.

Speaking of big man's clothes... do you ever notice in those big and tall shop commercials, they either show some skinny 7'6" giant or a 6'6" dude that's a bodybuilder? They never show... umm... the other kind of clientele that visit the store. :lol:
 
ECW has taken a massive turn for the worst since Show's knees and back started bothering him again, and tonight was a glaring example of that. He was sluggish in the main event, and no other match on the show was able to make up for it.
 
Well after reading an interview with Samoa Joe, in which he praises Umaga solely because he is a fellow Samoan, I have decided I no longer dislike Samoa Joe, but rather hate him. I hope he never gets a title run now, een though it would just be in TNA so it really doesn't matter...

My friend orders from a fatman catalog, and they don't have a single fatman pictured. Only "swol" black men and tall white guys.

I've looked through some of those catalogs, and yeah, even in print it's the same. All bodybuilders and stick-thin giants.

I mean, come on, there's a reason for those 500 different 8X shirts in the catalog. And is it just me, or do at least 80% of those 8X shirts have some kind of dog and a lame joke on them. I remember laughing at this stupid shirt that was wrestling related in one of those catalogs. It had a dog with a beer and a vest, and it read "Stone Cold Steve Pawstin! Gimme a Woof Yeah!" :lol:

Who buys that shit?

I got 4 of the 100 dollar ones. Cheap enough so I don't feel like an idiot, expensive enough so I'm not sitting in row 16 of the uppermost deck.
 
Wow this shows even with WWE hyping their movies during their shows, it doesn't help the movie.

See No Evil made $1.1 Million in revenue outside the U.S., which added to U.S. totals adds up to $16 Million. Apparently WWE is hoping that DVD sales will net $4 million, just so they can break even.

If See No Evil made that much, makes me wonder how bad The Marine will be. I don't think it's even broke the $10 million mark yet.
 
It'll take a miracle for Marine to break even, and if See No Evil can't even break even despite being their best bet financially, WWE Films will be a non-factor soon.

Sorry for the OT. Here's something of note: the Dusty Rhodes' DVD set has him wearing the NWA title on the cover, but it's all blurry and you can't see shit on it. It looks like a big gold rectangle.

This has to be by far the best shirt TNA has done to date. Simple, awesome, and just quite frankly freakin fitting for Christopher Daniels. :D

- Midway Games representatives were in Orlando this past Monday, taking care of a lot of pre-work for the upcoming TNA video game. This included scanning the roster, filming crowd footage, and recording crowd noise. The graphic detail is said to be amazing.
